From the young to the young-at-heart, all can bond with Gallop Stable’s resident horses and ponies through joyrides, stable tours and informational workshops, as well as feeding these equine friends. Qixi Fest

Qixi Festival 2023 in Singapore

The Qixi festival 2023 will be celebrating the stories of female migrant pioneers with talks, panel discussions and exhibitions. Families can learn more about the Samsui women and factory women working graveyard shifts.

The free Qixi Fest River Cruise will take place every Sunday from now till 20 August 2023 at 8 pm to 8.30 pm in English, and 8.30 pm to 9 pm in Chinese.

There is an “Around the World with The Little Prince” interactive seven-stop augmented reality (AR) trail at Punggol Regional Library for patrons to explore the themes of The Little Prince and watch toys from the MINT Museum of Toys coming to “life”.

Patrons can also redeem limited-edition The Little Prince-themed AR cards when they borrow at least four items from the library or on the NLB Mobile app, and complete the online quiz at the AR trail on 16 July 2023, from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm.

Big Book Giveaway

The Big Book Giveaway is a community event by the National Library Board where pre-loved books can be taken home for free* to spread the joy of reading. This year, the event will be held at four libraries across Singapore, on 15 and 16 July 2023, from 11 am to 6 pm. The four libraries are Jurong Regional Library, Toa Payoh Public Library, Tampines Regional Library and Woodlands Regional Library.
