It is the second weekend of September and the weekend before school reopens. For those looking for things to this weekend in Singapore, 12 and 13 September 2020, here are some suggestions of activities to enjoy.

1. Virtual Kampong Tour

Wan Go Jalan? with Syazwan Majid - Pesta Ubin 2020

Join a ‘live’ virtual tour around Kampung Sungei Durian and Kampung Surau at Pulau Ubin. It will conducted by Syazwan Majid who traces his roots back to Pulau Ubin. 2. Visit the OCBC Skyway

Gardens by the Bay’s OCBC Skyway reopened to the public earlier this week. You can now take a walk amongst the Supertrees. Visit in the evening to enjoy the twinkling lights and music at Supertree Grove. Save by booking using the Gardens by the Bay app or take advantage of the current ticketing promotion.  Or, discover more suspension bridges around Singapore.


3. Games in Chinatown

Head down to Chinatown for a weekend of bracelet-making, microgreens planting and more at Sago Street from 11 to 13 September 2020. There will be old school games like hopscotch and snakes & ladders for kids to play. You can also visit the Tin Tin Shop while you are there (it has extended its lease) or go in search of murals around Chinatown.


4. Go Cycling at Jurong Lake Gardens

A new bike rental shop has opened on the fringe of Jurong Lake Gardens. It is great reason to hop on a bike and head out for a ride to explore the many different nooks and crannies of Singapore’s third national garden this weekend, 12 and 13 September 2020.


5. Virtual Adventure Quest

7. Get “Foot-On” at the Planet or Plastic? Exhibition

ArtScience Museum’s newest exhibition on the impact of plastic opens this weekend on 12 September 2020. It traces the history of plastic from invention in the mid-1800s to the present day, and how it has affected the animals of the world’s oceans. The exhibition also includes an Interactive Space where visitors get to use their feet. Find out more.


8. Swap4Earth

Sustainable Singapore Gallery

On 12 and 13 September, Centre for a Responsible Future, Swapaholic and Singapore Sustainable Gallery have joined forces to present #Swap4Earth.
