“We, the citizens of Singapore, pledge ourselves as one united people.” These words come alive as Singapore Discovery Centre and other Defence Collective Singapore museums celebrate National Day 2024 from 3 to 11 August 2024 with fun activities for all.
Embracing the theme One United People, these activities include a special National Day exhibition, interactive story-tellings, self-guided trails with commemorative collectibles to be redeemed, and an interactive art display at the malls.

There are four exciting zones at the exhibition. You can join in the conversations of fellow Singaporeans at Zone 1 before casting your vote for the story that resonates the most with you at the second zone.
Next, learn about the importance of Psychological Defence and its role during the Covid-19 pandemic before joining in the collective voices of fellow citizens to share what we treasure about the Singaporean way of life.
One Journey! Interactive Storytelling
Take a journey through the annals of Singapore’s past with a series of dramatised interactive storytelling sessions. Kids can join in and become part of the story as the tales of Sang Nila Utama and the lion, as well as the legend of the swordfish attack unfold.

My Home, My Singapore! Crafting Activity
Make your very own photo frame together with your kids. Decorate it with all things Singapore and use it to showcase memories made during this year’s National Day celebrations!

One Singapore! Photo Opportunity
Need a photo to put into your new personalised photo frame? Capture special ND59 memories by taking photos at the One Singapore! interactive photo corner. Join a heartfelt pledge-taking ceremony or challenge yourself to recite the pledge in all four official languages!

One Heartbeat! Music Performances
Be mesmerised by performances by yIN Harmony, Ageless Bridge and others. Soak in the National Day spirit as they bring you on a musical journey with popular tunes like ‘Home’, ‘小人物的心声‘ and ‘Chan Mali Chan’.

Wonderland Free Movie Screening
Catch a free screening of ‘Wonderland,’ a local production starring Mark Lee, Peter Yu, and Xenia Tan. Set in the 1980s, it revolves around the story of a reserved and illiterate single father, a friendly neighbour, and a daughter studying overseas.

Together as One: Explore Three Museums & Redeem National Day Collectibles
Challenge your family and friends to visit all three Defence Collective Singapore museums – Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC), Singapore Navy Museum and Singapore Air Force Museum – between 3 to 11 August. Pick up exclusive National Day commemorative magnet collectibles when you complete a self-guided trail at each museum.
In addition, head down to any of the NDP Heartland Celebrations venues on 10 August to redeem a fourth special edition magnet. Together with the other three, the magnet forms a picture depicting our national spirit as ‘One United People’.

One Heart, One Nation @ Capitaland Malls
From now till 30 July 2024, keep a look out for the One Heart, One Nation exhibit at Bugis Junction (22 to 28 July) and Bedok Mall (24 to 30 July). Pen down your heartfelt wishes for Singapore and help to fill up the heart with wish orbs to celebrate 59 years of Singapore’s independence.
