Singapore Book Street 2026: Largest Book Fair for Sing Lit

Singapore Book Street is a joint initiative by the National Arts Council (NAC) and the Singapore Book Publishers Association (SBPA).

Set to be Singapore’s largest book fair for Sing Lit, it is a chance for Singaporeans and visitors alike to discover, browse and buy homegrown stories across our four official languages — English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil.

The location at VivoCity also carries a nostalgic connection to Singapore’s book fair history.

For those who are old enough to remember, the HarbourFront Precinct hosted the Singapore Festival of Books and Book Fair in the 1970s and 1980s.

These fairs were held at the former World Trade Centre, now the shut-down HarbourFront Centre.

Decades on, Singapore Book Street brings a major book fair back to the area, this time dedicated entirely to Singapore’s own stories, in a lively, street-inspired setting at VivoCity.

Singapore Book Street will spotlight the breadth of Singapore’s publishing scene and book community, bringing together over 40 homegrown publishers alongside the authors, illustrators and creatives behind Singapore stories.

It celebrates the vibrant book community by bringing them to the fore, generating greater awareness and pride in Singapore-made books and the people and organisations behind them.

With more than 1,200 Sing Lit titles across English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil languages, the book fair offers a rare opportunity to discover the wide variety of books that are published locally all in one place.

The selection spans adult fiction and non-fiction, poetry and fantasy, graphic novels, as well as children’s picture books and chapter books.

Publishers that will be Singapore Book Street includes Epigram Books, Graceworks, Pepper Dog Press, and many others.
