The September school holidays in Singapore is just one week long from 31 August to 8 September 2024. With so few days and the upcoming exam period, some of it could be set aside for exam revision. Families searching for a fun experience with classical music can look forward to learning a pirate’s ways from Awesome Al and Captain Barraez while having a memorable, swashbuckling adventure.
Strap on those sea legs and get up close to the instruments at the Instrument Petting Zoo one hour before the concert. Musicians will also be there to introduce instruments such as the harp, clarinet and trumpet. It will be a thrilling ride that is perfect for sparking an interest in music for the little ones. A Greener Tomorrow at The Seletar Mall
Kids are in for a treat at The Seletar Mall where fun meets sustainability during the September school holidays! Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience
Following its world premiere in Milan and expansion into the USA, Brussels and London, Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience is making its Asia-Pacific debut in Singapore just in time for the September school holidays 2024. This colourful and interactive experience invites guests to escape into a whimsical world of bubbles, in which they can engage their senses and let their imaginations run wild. There are a total of 11 uniquely themed areas to explore including an enormous bubble bath ball pit, a virtual reality room, an undersea LED room and an endless infinity experience. Art of the Brick
At Art of The Brick, visitors of all ages will get the chance to marvel at over one million LEGO bricks as they are transformed into more than 150 sculptures by artist Nathan Sawaya. Amongst the exhibit highlights at Art of the Brick include a 20-foot T-Rex skeleton and there will be an interactive LEGO creation area where imaginations run wild too. Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations at Gardens by the Bay
The Gardens by the Bay Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 is taking place from Wednesday, 4 September to Sunday, 22 September, 6 pm to 10 pm daily. Bidadari Park
Pay a visit to Bidadari Park, the new park that has been inspired by Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Woods. Walk around the footpaths and enjoy the view of Alkaff Lake before heading over to the Adventure Playwoods playground where more fun awaits. Olafur Eliasson: Your Curious Journey & Learning Gallery at SAM
The visit to Tanjong Pagar Distripark is worth it as there are two free spots to visit. First up, the Olafur Eliasson exhibition is a highly sensory and immersive experience that the children will love. Experience a fine mist and look for the rainbow, participate in the construction of a white city, find the northern lights and create shadows on different projection screens.
Then head to the gallery across the exhibition to a child-friendly Learning Gallery by Singapore Art Museum. It encourages the learning of contemporary art with five artworks on display by local and international artists. There is also an interactive wall, spaces for crafting and reading.

Play:Date Unlocking Cabinets of Play, National Museum of Singapore
Play:Date – Unlocking Cabinets of Play is a collaboration between National Museum of Singapore, artists and toy collectors to showcase stories of childhood toys through an immersive showcase, large-scale artworks and digital gamified experiences. Step into a world of playful nostalgia at the engaging experiential pop-up, developed as part of the Museum’s Collecting Contemporary Singapore initiative. The initiative aims to showcase and collect memories and objects from recent decades. There are four main segments to look out for at Play:Date with five commissioned artworks on the Museum’s exterior, 280 toys showcased by 10 collectors, digital game machines and a tunnel. Impressions of Monet, Flower Dome
Immerse yourself into the world of French painter Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) at Impressions of Monet at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome. Impressions of Monet is one of the best displays that we have seen staged at the Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay. Its use of multiple varieties of flowers, alongside replicas of his art, gives vibrancy to the floral tribute to Claude Monet and the work that he poured his life into. Singapore Night Festival 2024
Singapore Night Festival will run from 23 August to 7 September 2024. The festival is themed Art of Play, exploring the concept of play and childhood. Attend performances, visit museums at night, head to the Festival Villages and admire the Night Lights installations. One new location for Singapore Night Festival is Bugis Street Art Lane. This is where you can encounter Delulu High, a creative installation meant to be a safe and reflective haven. Thereafter, visit the Disco Bus and Affirmation Steps, then a public artwork paying homage to Red House Café. Into the Hawkerverse at Children’s Museum Singapore & Open House at Singapore Night Festival 2024
The Into the Hawkerverse exhibition at Children’s Museum Singapore aims to introduce Singapore’s vibrant and indispensable hawker culture to little ones in fun, immersive and interactive ways. Kids can learn everything about street hawkers, popular and well-loved hawker dishes and as well as hawker centre design! The latest hawker-themed exhibition is bound to bring back memories and have different generations talking about hawker food. During the Singapore Night Festival, you can also enjoy a night out at Children’s Museum Singapore and explore the two floors of exhibits as part of a special open house!

Free Performance: The Tree of Dreams
Head out to a free child-friendly performance “The Tree of Dreams”, a sequel to “The Bird, the Squirrel and the Sambar Deer” presented at last year’s Singapore Night Festival. Presented by: MySuperFuture Theatrical Productions, this 20-minute performance is about a young camper overhearing a conversation about a sacred tree on Bukit Larangan. Will the tree reveal secrets and treasures of the past This performance is recommended for ages 4 years and above.

New Installations at Future World, ArtScience Museum
ArtScience Museum’s Future World: Where Art Meets Science recently underwent a month-long revamp of the City in a Garden gallery and welcomed in two new interactive installations. A Musical Wall where Little People Live expands on the whimsical realm first introduced in A Table Where Little People Live, offering visitors more ways to engage with this community of miniature characters who run around playing within their world. A Window to the Universe where Little People Live allows visitors to influence their world using newly designed light pens and light stamps to draw lines and create shapes. VroomTown Driving City
Car-crazy children can now rev their engines at VroomTown Driving City, People Up’s latest indoor drive-play concept in Marina Square. The mini city features world-renowned Singapore attractions including Supertree Grove, Changi Airport, Merlion and has a realistic city driving experience including a “fast-food” drive-through, a carwash and a fuel pump! Keppel Centre for Art Education
Have you visited the Keppel Centre for Art Education at National Gallery Singapore recently? It features seven interactive learning zones for children. Teck Whye View Playground: Train Locomotive Steam Adventure
Want to take the kids out to a playground? Chugging along the Pang Sua Park Connector and a stone’s throw from the Rail Corridor is the Teck Whye View playground.
