It’s a school holiday (again!) on 3 July thanks to Youth Day 2023 on Sunday, 2 July. This means a long weekend from 1 to 3 July for school kids, a chance for them to celebrate the joy of youth.

Wondering what to do for Youth Day in Singapore? We’ve put together a couple of ideas and activities for the young ones.

Science Centre Singapore is giving out 300 free admission tickets to NSmen, NSFs and youths this weekend. Simply sign up as a Galaxy Rewards Programme member, login and click on SAF and Youth Day promotion and redeem the offer at the ticketing portal.

One member can redeem one free ticket for July. Verification of identity is required at the point of entry with SAF11B, SAFRA, HomeTeamNS cards and identity cards.

Family Festivities at the Centre for Ethnobotany

Family Festivities at the Centre for Ethnobotany

The Singapore Botanic Gardens and Fort Canning Heritage Festival continues this weekend. Rockestra happens on 1 July from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm at Fort Canning Green, plus an old school market on 2 July at Fort Canning Centre.

There will also be craft drop-in activities on 1 and 2 July at Fort Canning Centre and Green Pavilion, Singapore Botanic Gardens.

There are also three activities happening on the Youth Day school holiday on Monday, 3 July at Singapore Botanic Garden’s Centre for Ethnobotany. Participate in a family photo hunt from 10 am to 1pm. Or save planet earth by tinkering at the Tinkerworks: Saving Planet Earth activity between 9.30 am to 10.15 am. 

You can also watch “The Snake in the Banyan Tree” presented by Malay Heritage Centre between 11 am to 12.30 pm. Pre-registration is required, tickets cost $16 per parent & child pair.

Singapore Youth Festival Celebrations at Esplanade

Watch the artistic youths express their talents and creativity at Singapore Youth Festival celebrations at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.

Listen to the youths sing at Esplanade Concourse on 30 June and 1 July.

On 1 July, the Show Choir presents at 1.30 pm while a Singalong happens between 5 pm to 5.30 pm while Choral singing will take place between 6 pm and 6.35pm.

Also head to the outdoor theatre at Esplanade on 1 July for percussion and cultural dances between 5 pm to 7.30 pm.
