Newly launched on 1 September, Jumanji Safari 4D Adventure is the newest 4D cinematic experience at Madam Tussauds, easily accessible by the Sentosa Monorail or Sentosa Bus, located at Imbiah Station.
This pulse-racing 4D cinematic experience preludes you to the most exhilarating moments of the upcoming official release of Jumanji: Open World, scheduled to release later this year on Christmas Eve. The long awaited fifth and final instalment will see the return of heavyweight favourites like Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. Join legendary field guide Nigel Billingsley if you dare, alongside fearless adventurers Dr. Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Franklin Finbar and Professor Sheldon Oberon.
Gateway into a Wild Jumanji Adventure Awaiting
As we entered into the Jumanji Holding Zone before the cinematic 4D experience started, we felt we have already entered into an old mini-mart shed of the wild jungle terrains of Jumanji. I loved how they enticed us to literally buy “Supplies” of snacks and drinks before our Safari adventure began.

While waiting, I loved reading the fictional journal entries on the yellow-aged information board with polaroid shots of adventurers who might or might not have made it back.
Rustic greens and woody planks backed colourful illustrated posters featuring the star giant creatures of the show, along with all-too-eager “touristy” adventurers who are clueless what they are in for. Little Pea was oh-so-curious by the numerous safety bulletins and warning signs of caution! lining up the corridor. As we did a Jumanji Safari Tours safety briefing to her, she started to feel the jitters of what was to come.
Pulse-racing 4D Multi-sensory Journey into the Wild Nature Terrains of Jungle, Dessert, Skies
When it was time to enter, the girls bravely chose their front row seats, got comfy on the spacious leather seats and don on their chic 4D glasses. They were completely clueless to what they were in for, as the Jumanji Adventure started, launching all of us into a Giant Hiss of an anaconda.
It was truly a high octane action-packed experience, with many unexpected twists and turns with the adventure crew as they tussled and bustled their way through different terrains to outrun and outlast. From the wild hissing jungle to flying sandy desserts to avalanching towering rocky cliffs, the cinematic and motion effects of each evaluating terrain kept our hearts in suspense as our seats moved in rhythmic motion, simulating flying jeeps, crashing bridges and helicopters as part of the chase.
You could truly feel the presence of the majestic animated creatures in each scene, with hidden leg-ticklers brushing against your ankles as the anaconda glided through the jungle; water nozzles spraying mist as a massive hippo breaks through the river surface right up into your face and sudden gusts of wind as we spiralized down cliffs- Enough shared.
Try to find seats right in the middle row (where the loudest screams were) for the maximum immersive all-surround Jumanji experience. It’s a must to sit between your young kids. I had to swap seats midway to pacify the screaming little pea – mini pea remained unfazed. The experience was less than 10 mins long.
Madame Tussauds Singapore
Did you know that Madame Tussauds Singapore is housed in the same building that used to house the old Sentosa Wax Museum way back in the 1980s? However, this Sentosa attraction offers a lot more glitz and glamour, as well as a dose of history in the form of the Images of Singapore section.
When you approach the Madame Tussauds Singapore building, you won’t be able to help but notice the regal colonial facade of the building. That is because it was once used by by British army and served several purposes, including that of hospital and a regimental headquarters.
In 1983, the original wax museum on Sentosa opened and was known as the Pioneers of Singapore & Surrender Chambers museum. The museum was renamed Images of Singapore in 1994 and given a makeover in 2005.
The current Madame Tussauds Singapore opened to the public on 25 October 2014. Nowadays, as you approach the building, you will be greeted by pictures of celebrities.
After passing through the reception, it is down a corridor to head to the first of many zones within the attraction.

Spirit of Singapore Boat Ride
It was nice to rest our feet with a calming indoor-aircon boat ride gliding through a miniature avatar-glowing version of Singapore’s iconic attractions and cultural monuments.
The girls were captivated by the rhythmic sparkling lights of the super trees at gardens by the bay, as the boat glided pass the Merlion, Marina bay sands skyline and a life-size red-engine F1 Car. They got to see up-close, the shimmering costumes of wayang, and a traditional lion dance costume. The ride drew to a close beneath a glowing canopy of red Chinatown lanterns.

We loved being greeted by a life-size avatar of Sir Stamford Raffles and the thoughtful “strike a pose in history” photo spots with dress up opportunities as a Coolie or Samsui woman. I had to hold little and mini pea’s little hands as they were terrified of walking through the darker dimly lit zones – beware of a sudden roaring tiger as you walk through the jungle area.
This compound has also been recently refreshed with more digital and interactive touchpoints such as life-size semi-realistic avatars of Sir Stamford Raffles, Samsui woman, as well as thoughtful digital touchscreen educational touchpoints which showcased the evolution of Singapore’s historical landscape.
History, Leaders, Sports & Film Legends
The girls got a chance to meet all these legends upclose and personal. From trying to share a love seat with Lee Kuan Yew and Kwa Geok Choo, to saying hello to Gandhi & his staff; to trying to score and out jump Yaoming. Their favourite moment?
Having a sparring table tennis session with each other while Fandi Ahmad cheered on from the sidelines. Tired out, they were just happy to have breakfast tea at Tiffany’s with Audrey Hepburn.
Ultimate Film Star Experience
Little and mini pea were particularly fascinated with the Bollywood dance-offs screens – they tried to keep up with different dancing grooves and moves, but sadly failed the auditions. Undeterred, the girls tried to don on saris for their next auction to be a Bollywood star – Priyanka Chopra giggled as these vibrant saris kept slipping off their tiny frames all too silkily.
Sports Stars
See how you stand against sporting figures such as Yao Ming and Tiger Woods.
One of the newer wax figures here is that of Yip Pin Xiu, a Singaporean five-time Paralympic gold champion. It was unveiled in February 2024.

K-Wave
Experience K-glamour at the K-wave Zone featuring wax figures of Korean stars in an Instagrammable setting. This section opened on 28 January 2021 in response to fan requests. Here, you will find wax figures of actors Kim Woo-bin and Song Seung-heon, along with singer and actress Bae Suzy. One of the poses that visitors can strike is to help complete a “heart” with Bae Suzy.
Behind the Magic
This is where you can learn about the history of Madame Tussauds. You can also get a glimpse at what goes into the making of the wax figures.
Did you know that each wax figure costs several hundreds of thousands of dollars to make and can take three to six months to create. Each wax figure is constructed using more than 200 measurements taken during a sitting with the celebrity. The wax heads alone taking up to six weeks to get right with each strand of hair (real human hair) painstakingly inserted one-by-one.
It is amazing that even with such a hefty price tag tied to each wax figure, visitors can cosy up to them in the high-touch museum.
Stamp with each “Step into Adventure”
The girls enjoyed collecting their stamps at the last few zones after the boat ride. This quest requires a total collection of 4 stamps to unlock a special reward which you can receive at the gift shop.
Using every ounce of their last energy, the girls tried their hands at the reaction wall challenge. All in, we took about an hour and a half to finish all 10 Zones. Head to Roost nearby for an affordable lunch of chicken rice or local fare; or over to Singapore Cable cars if you need a dose of sea breeze.
