“Legend has it that three odd, colourful creatures perambulate along the Esplanade Waterfront towards Jubilee Bridge every night. Are they lions? Are they fish? Nobody knows, least of all themselves.
Upon catching sight of the Merlion, they burst into song—one so weirdly familiar and strangely humorous that sailors, tourists and bumboats out in the Marina Bay waters are forced to turn their gaze towards the banks of the Esplanade…”
Directed by Candice de Rozario, this tongue-in-cheek roving performance is a tribute to the immense popularity of the Merlion.
