From 1 October to 27 October 2024, kids get to enter Singapore Zoo and River Wonders free with every full paying adult. It is a great chance to take the kids for a Children’s Day outing to view the animals. There are also special activities planned on the weekend. Don’t forget to stop by the Zoo’s Kidzworld to say hello to the animals there! Children’s Museum Singapore is holding various special ticketed events over the Children’s Day weekend. Watch Superhawker Me, a multisensorial relaxed performance where audiences can expect a fun-filled sing-along time and participate in several hands-on interactive segments during the performance. There is also Makan Mischief, a interactive storytelling by Evelyn Wong about Little Mynah who comes up with a makan surprise for her friends. Enter into the magical world of Studio Ghibli, opening on 4 October 2024, at ArtScience Museum. This is the first-ever Studio Ghibli exhibition in Singapore and will feature large-scale installations from 11 iconic Studio Ghibli films for unique as well as interactive visitor experiences. Be spirited away into the magical scenes of Studio Ghibli animated movies like My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and other iconic films through enchanting theatrical sets, whimsical art installations and more. Giant Ball room at Bubble Planet

Move between 11 uniquely themed areas including an enormous bubble bath ball pit, a virtual reality room, an undersea LED room and an endless infinity experience at Bubble Planet. Travel through fantastical landscapes and into imaginary metaverses filled with optical illusions and photo opportunities. Art of the Brick

Over one million LEGO bricks have been transformed into more than 150 sculptures by artist Nathan Sawaya for the LEGO exhibition Art of the Brick. There are a total of 12 rooms to visit in total at the exhibition. These feature amazing sculptures includingfamous paintings and art works made out of bricks. Monet Inside: 360-Degree Digital Art Experience Opening In Oct 2024

This one is more suited for older ones who are fans of Claude Monet, the Impressionist master. Monet Inside mainly consists of a 45-minute-long multimedia showcase that features stunning visuals, original soundtracks, and immersive storytelling across the venue’s flooring and five grand screens – each over six metres high. It showcases 200 artworks by the Claude Monet and is a chance to embark on an intimate journey through the life of the French Impressionist Master. Pay a visit to The Story of the Forest at National Museum of Singapore before it closes for good on 13 October 2024. The digital installation by teamLab is inspired by the natural history drawings from the William Farquhar Collection. Gerak ABC! is a bilingual English-Malay dance theatre performance for 3 to 6 years olds at The Artground where letters of the alphabet get animated through the body. The dancers help make the letter come alive through embodying the letters and pairing them with simple movements words; like “gerak”, which means “move”. Daily interactions like “M for Makan” and “S for sayang” are also featured and become inspiration for dance movement and engagement between audience and performers.
