First and foremost do note the proper swim attire is required. This means no dry fit tees or improper swimwear is allowed for safety reasons. Swimsuits with zips are also not allowed on slides, the lifeguards check the swimwear of rides quite thoroughly from our experience.

Swimming Pool at Sengkang Swimming Complex

The pool is divided into four main sections. The left and right sections are where the lap pools are – with one sheltered lap pool and one uncovered.

Most of the families will flock to the middle sections where the water playground and the slides are located.

Five Slides at Sengkang Swimming Complex

Five Slides at Sengkang Swimming Complex

Recently unveiled in June, the five slides are the main characters of the pool. They offer varied experiences from gentle descents to thrilling multi-lane rides, suitable for any appetite for thrill.

With names like Rainbow Dash, Cotton Candy Bowl and Sugar Rush, how can anyone resist the temptation to try them?

These slides have a minimum height limit of 1.2 metres or 1.3 metres for riders. For those between 1.2 metres to 1.3 metres, there are two slides to try: Jelly Lime Loops and Jellybean Swizzle. Those above 1.3 metres tall can try Rainbow Dash, Cotton Candy Bowl and Sugar Rush.

Slides at Sengkang Swimming Complex

Let’s start with the most exhilarating – the Rainbow Dash! It is a four-lane ride allowing families and friends to race all the way down. Rated medium difficulty, riders can either be seated upright or lay down with hands behind their head as they rapidly slide downwards.

Next is the Cotton Candy Bowl in pink stripes which includes one loop. This was the 11-year-old’s favourite ride.

This is paired with Sugar Rush which is at the highest tier for taller children or adults. The speed is slower compared to Cotton Candy Bowl offering a slower descent after two loops. It is also the longest slide measuring 79.1 m.

Jellybean Swizzle

Slides at the lower tier are also fun. Try the Jellybean Swizzle which swings you upwards so your legs fly up in the gigantic bowl before sliding down into the pool. In the words of the 11-year-old, it was like getting sucked into a vortex.

Jelly Lime Loops

Right next to it is the Jelly Lime Loops which includes one loop before the exit.

Remember to take off all footwear, goggles, objects before trying the slides to prevent any injuries!

Water Playground at Sengkang Swimming Complex

Water Playground at Sengkang Swimming Complex

The water playground consists of a baby pool, many water spouts, a playground with two slides for those below 1.2 metres in height, a splash bucket, water umbrella which are all partially shaded from the sun.

We like how the design of this zone for younger children or even toddlers is well thought-out and considerately planned with the canopies sheltering the little ones.

Splash Zone

There is also a bridge-like ramp for little ones to go up and down, separating the playground from the baby pool for those who prefer to get away from the splash zone.

Parents and caregivers can also sit on the steps of the baby pool while tending to their young children.

For those preferring to chill and watch the action, spend the time soaking at the jacuzzi pool in a shape of a water droplet.

Or lounge on the pink bean bags with a good book while suntanning. There is plenty of seating for caregivers and onlookers, next to the two lap pools and water playground.
