Deepavali Light Up 2023 Singapore
From 30 September till 3 December 2023, Serangoon Road and a section of Race Course Road will be lit up for the Deepavali Light Up 2023 in Singapore.
The annual Deepavali Street Light Up at Little India starts in front of Tekka Centre with a brightly coloured archway.

This year, the Deepavali light up was launched on 30 September 2023 at the open field at Birch Road.

In addition to the annual Deepavali light up, there are other events being held in celebration of Deepavali.
Indian Heritage Centre Deepavali Open House
Head down to the Indian Heritage Centre for a month-long celebration at the Deepavali Open House! Experience traditional food, fashion, and activities that showcase our diverse Indian culture. Celebrate the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.
The Indian Heritage Centre Deepavali Open House take place from 14 October till 12 November. There are a mix of free and paid activities to look out for at the Indian Heritage Centre Deepavali Open House.
Deepavali Festival Village
Deepavali would not be the same without a visit to the Festival Village along Campbell Lane. This shopping area comes to life with street merchants selling traditional clothing, handicrafts, snacks and festive decorations. It is right next to the Indian Heritage Centre.
This year, the Deepavali Festival Village will be held from 30 September till 11 November 2023. It will be open from 10 am till 10 pm until 9 November. It will then open till late from 10 am to 1 am on 10 and 11 November 2023.
Deepavali Food Bazaar
From 25 September till 11 November 2023, pay a visit to the Deepavali Food Bazaar at Poli @ Clive Street from 2 pm till 10 pm. Treat your taste buds to the flavours of Indian cuisines and goodies for a cultural experience of Deepavali.
LISHA Fashion Show
Models will be gracefully showing off a fusion of North and South Indian designs at a Fashion Show being held on 21 October 2023, 6.30 pm till 8 pm outside the Indian Heritage Centre. It could be the inspiration that you need for your Deepavali outfit and it is a chance to get an appreciation of the cultural significance of clothing for the festive celebrations.
On 14 and 28 October 2023, join in a treasure hunt to discover more about Little India’s hidden cultural gems.
Set out on a fun cultural treasure hunt through Little India’s bustling streets. You and your partner will solve puzzles and decode clues as you explore the rich tapestry of Little India’s heritage in this fun team activity.
Discover culturally significant hints and fascinating information about Indian culture while competing against other puzzle fans for exciting prizes!

Rangoli / Kolam Workshop
The ancient Indian art form of kolam entails creating intricately patterned decorations out of coloured flour. This artistic expression is also known as rangoli in Northern India. It is significant as it is meant to convey the victory of light over darkness.
Join a workshop and be guided step-by-step on the artistic and cultural facets of this lovely tradition from professional Kolam artists. Learn a new, complex skill while also understanding the Kolam’s significance during Deepavali.

Watch a live cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Chef Arifin who will be sharing his knowledge about ingredient selection, food preparation techniques and the delicate art of flavour balancing.

Deepavali Big Bus Tour
To soak in the atmosphere in Little India, you can join a a special tour by Big Bus tours. It will take you through the key highlights of Little India before wrapping up at Race Course Road, outside Gayathri Restaurant. In addition, each participant will receive a $5 voucher from the Gayathri restaurant!
The Deepavali Big Bus Tour takes place on 20 and 27 October, 3 and 10 November. Registration is required and tickets cost just $8!
