Villa Verde Park, the quiet neighbourhood park in the Yew Tee area, has a new extension with a new playground, nature play area, fitness area and dog run.

The original Villa Verde Park stretches out between the houses at the private estate and the Pang Sua canal beside the Pang Sua Park Connector.

The park has now been extended across the Pang Sua Canal. To get to the new extension of Villa Verde Park, take the Pang Sua Bridge at the corner of Verda View.

Located under the Yew Tee Flyover and beside the Rail Corridor, the new section of Villa Verde Park is a welcoming space for park-goers, families and dog owners.

Villa Verde Park Playground

Villa Verde Park Playground

The new Villa Verde Park playground is a bright and colourful structure. Inspired by the adjacent Rail Corridor, it looks like a train with various carriages lined up in a linear fashion.

At the front of the Villa Verde Park playground is a yellow, low and gentle slide. With climbing panels fitted with handholds, the front is where younger children can get up on to playground’s platform.

The playground rises to the rear where there are more climbing panels and slides.

Mounds at Villa Verde Park extension

There are also low mounds next to the playground structure. These are fun spots for kids to climb and play around.

The children’s playground is not the only section of park inspired by the Rail Corridor.

The Villa Verde Park Nature Playgarden also takes inspiration from the trains that once ran from Singapore to Malaysia.

Wooden logs create a make-believe train and also act as balancing beams that kids can walk along.

There are also wooden stumps that act as seats or stepping stones.

Sand pit

More gravelly paths and logs lead to a sand pit for children to get their feet and hands dirty.

Road Track

Road Track

Another fun spot for kids at the new Villa Verde Park extension is a road track that makes a loop under the flyover.

Road markings on the track for kids

Painted with road markings, the road track is where kids can scoot around or ride their ride-on vehicles to make-believe that they are zooming about just like the cars on the flyover above.

It may not be as undulating as the road track at Play @ Heights Park but it is still a fun spot for kids.

Dog Run and Other Amenities at Villa Verde Park

There is also a small dog run at Villa Verde Park.

Community Space

Other amenities include a fitness area and a community space.

Planter Boxes

There are also raised planter boxes for community farming.

For washroom facilities, you will need to head back across the canal to the old section of Villa Verde Park.

The Villa Verde Park extension is located between the Pang Sua Canal and Woodlands Road, under the Yew Tee Flyover, near the Pang Sua Bridge.

Just a note that the original Villa Verde Park also has a children’s playground at the junction of Stagmont Ring and Choa Chu Kang North 5.

From Villa Verde Park, you can also take a footpath to SAFRA Choa Chu Kang
