Mention “UrbanVille” and images of a modern metropolis comes to mind. However, the Urbanville @ Woodlands playgrounds appear to take a different direction because they include an attap hut-themed playground complete with what looks like attap leaves on the playground’s roof!
UrbanVille @ Woodlands Playground: Three Playgrounds to Explore
UrbanVille @ Woodlands is an estate that is located north of Causeway Point, midway to Admiralty Park.
The large estate has not one, not two but three play areas, offering a variety of play opportunities for kids spread out along the length of the estate.

Two-Level Kampong Themed Playground with Attap Roof
The most distinctive of the UrbanVille @ Woodlands Playgrounds is the kampong-themed playground on the rooftop of the multi-storey car park, next to Block 907C.
Spanning across two levels, kids can climb inside the meshed structure and explore.
The various ramps leading into the playground even remind us a bit of a chicken coop. That’s probably thanks to the wire mesh.
Alternative ways to get in include ladders from the lower level, where you can also find an enclosed slide for kids to zip out of the play structure.
Beside the main structure, there is another smaller playground structure, along with spring riders designed to look like farmyard animals to complete the theming.
A standalone tower provides even more climbing and sliding opportunities at the two-level playground space.
Houses Playground
A second UrbanVille @ Woodlands playground can be found at the other end of the multi-storey car park, in front of Block 908B.
Here, red roof house playgrounds provide the opportunity for younger ones to engage in imaginative play.
Kids can explore inside and also make their way from house to house using the connecting bridge.
For more challenge, there is a red rope play frame. Kids can get climbing as they make their own way through the nets inside the climbing frame.
A basket swing and see-saw close by provide more opportunities for play.
Box Tower Playground
The last of the three UrbanVille @ Woodlands playgrounds is located at Block 909. This play area has two play spaces.
The highlight here is a box tower designed to look like three cubes stacked on top of each other.
The red, green and blue playground rises up, complementing the tall blocks of Urbanville @ Woodlands apartments.
Kids can enter in from the bottom and make their way up the climbing nets to reach the green box level above. From this level, there is a grey slide that comes back down to the ground.
Intrepid ones can carry on their adventure by climbing up to the blue box, which is the top level of the playground. Bubble windows pop out from the blue box, providing a view of the playground below.
Younger kids can also enjoy play time at the lower play structure at the other end of the playground.
There is also a three-way see-saw for kids to play together and enjoy fun with others.
UrbanVille @ Woodlands Playgrounds
The UrbanVille @ Woodlands estate’s three playground offer different play experiences for kids.
They can go from an old-time attap roof playground, set across two levels, to reaching skywards in a box tower playground.
UrbanVille @ Woodlands is located at Woodlands Square.
For even more fun playtime, you can also pay a visit to the nearby Admiralty Park, or Woodlands Waterfront, which has a recently revamped playground.
