Nestled in the heart of this cosy neighbourhood mall, the newly opened Wan To Play Baby Shark Indoor Playground brings a vibrant adventure to one of Singapore’s neighbourhood malls in the west.

One of the things we appreciate about West Coast Plaza is that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Unlike the hustle and bustle of larger shopping destinations, West Coast Plaza offers a more relaxed and family-friendly environment, making it an ideal place for parents with young children. You can easily spend a few hours here, let the kids play, grab a meal afterwards and even run a few errands before heading home.

It’s the kind of neighbourhood mall that makes family outings feel easy and stress-free.

The playground is open daily from 9am to 9pm, with admission priced at $23.98 for a 1-hour session or $38.15 for a 2-hour session. Rates include entry for one child and one supervising adult.

Wan To Play Baby Shark Indoor Playground: A Thoughtfully Designed Play Space

One of the first things parents will notice is the playground’s open-concept layout. Rather than being enclosed by high walls, the play area is designed with clear sightlines, allowing parents to stand comfortably around the perimeter while still having a clear view of their children.

There’s no need to constantly weave through the play equipment to check where your little one disappeared to, which makes the experience much more relaxing. For parents with toddlers who like a little independence, this thoughtful layout offers plenty of reassurance while still allowing children the freedom to explore.

Multiple Play Zones, Play For Everyone

The playground offers three distinct play experiences, giving children plenty of variety throughout their visit.

Sensory Play

The sensory play area offers much more than just one attraction. The centrepiece is a huge sensory pit filled with beads, where children can scoop, dig, pour and bury objects as they explore different textures through open-ended play. It quickly becomes a favourite spot for little ones who enjoy getting hands-on and discovering new ways to play.

Beyond the bead pit, there are several other sensory stations to keep children engaged. Kids can get creative with kinetic sand, moulding and shaping different creations, or challenge themselves at the building stations, where they can assemble and experiment with various building parts.

These activities encourage fine motor skills, creativity and problem-solving, while providing a calmer play experience that balances out the more energetic areas of the playground.

Role Play

The imaginative role-play area invites children to step into different professions and create their own adventures. From themed activity corners to interactive setups, little ones can dress up, role-play and let their imaginations run wild. This area encourages creativity, communication and social skills while keeping children engaged away from screens.

Our daughter’s absolute favourite spot was the little jail and police station. She immediately put on a police uniform and held my hands to throw me into the jail! The best part? The jail comes with actual working locks, so she had the time of her life locking me up while proudly announcing that I had been arrested!

We must have spent a good 20 minutes in that corner alone because she simply refused to leave. It was one of those moments where you realise that sometimes the simplest role-play setups create the biggest smiles.

Adventure Playground

The main playground structure is perfect for little adventurers who love to climb, crawl, slide and burn off energy. For my child, the highlight was undoubtedly the ball pit. She enjoyed jumping and hiding among the balls, and particularly loved sliding straight into the sea of colourful balls. With multiple levels and a variety of obstacles to navigate, the structure offers just the right amount of challenge without feeling overwhelming for younger visitors.

The variety of play experiences is one of the playground’s strengths, allowing children to move naturally between sensory exploration, imaginative role play and active physical play depending on their mood and energy levels.

Our Thoughts

Wan To Play’s Baby Shark Playground at West coast Plaza may not be the biggest indoor playground in Singapore, but that’s part of its charm. It feels well thought out, age-appropriate and easy for parents to supervise.

We especially love the balance between physical play, sensory experiences and imaginative role play, giving children different ways to stay engaged. The open layout also means parents can actually relax while still keeping an eye on their little ones, a feature that deserves extra points.

What stood out most to us wasn’t necessarily the climbing structure or the ball pit, but how much time our daughter spent immersed in pretend play. Watching her enthusiastically “arrest” us, lock the jail door and take her job as a police officer very seriously was a reminder that imaginative play can sometimes be just as exciting as the biggest slides.

Combined with the convenience and laid-back atmosphere of West Coast Plaza, this is a great option for families with toddlers and preschoolers looking for a fuss-free day out.
