One favourite family activity in Singapore is to see the Christmas lights. We are spoilt for choice since there are many places to see the dazzling lights of the season this year. Here’s a round up of the best places to revel in Christmas lights.

Christmas on a Great Street at Orchard Road

Set Pieces - Orchard Road Light Up 2022

Many of us would cherish our childhood memories of strolling down Orchard Road enjoying the lights. This year, look out for the carnival themed lights along 3.1km of Orchard Road. 104 trees are lit with energy-saving LED white lights, pose with the ferris wheel and other interactive set pieces.

Don’t forget to stop by the malls to see magnificent trees at Tanglin Mall, ION Orchard, Wisma Atria,Ngee Ann City and Paragon Shopping Centre.

Trees of the World 2022 at Singapore Botanic Gardens

Prefer a quiet stroll in a park? Head to Singapore Botanic Gardens for Trees of the World 2022. We recommend making a stop right outside National Orchid Garden for an iconic shot and strolling to the pathway leading to the Bandstand.


Christmas Wonderland 2022

Gingerbread Grove

The crowd favourite for Christmas lights would be Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay with its 21 metre tall, handcrafted Spalliera consisting of 103,000 light bulbs. There’s also a 10-metre-tall Whimsical Windmill with 35,000 lights set in a field of 250 candy canes. The Walk of Lights tunnel is a favourite spot for photos. There are also new Christmas-themed light displays like the Jolly Express and Poinsettia Castle.

Take a walk along the Marina Bay promenade in the evening to enjoy the lights of Charitrees against the backdrop of the city. Find out more about the Charitrees initiative.


Quayside Isle, Sentosa

Enchanting Christmas light installations await at Quayside Isle, Sentosa. The sea of sparkling shimmering lights along the waterfront will delight many.


Marina Bay Sands

Head indoors for illuminations at Marina Bay Sands, the light-up features a Christmas floating forest illuminated in bright shimmering lights. There is an ensemble of around 1,000 Christmas trees dressed in fairy curtain lights along with giant snow globes.


Dino Glow at Jurassic Mile Changi

Jurassic Mile will light up in Dino Glow till 31 January. The colours are inspired by the bioluminescence of the world of Avatar. Cycle or scoot along the 3km of lights featuring illuminated jellyfish, glowing fungi, sparkling trees and life-sized dinosaurs at the Changi Airport Connector.


Jewel Changi Airport

Light Installations at Canopy Park

As always, Jewel Changi Airport is decked out for the season. An iconic 16m tall Christmas tree awaits visitors at Shiseido Forest Valley, there are aquatic interactive displays at Canopy Park including mythical plants surrounding a pool of sparkling blue water and glow-in-the-dark corals. Watch the Light & Sound show inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water with additional screenings during the week of Christmas and New Year’s Day.


Raffles City Singapore

Step into a 15-metre tall Christmas tree decked in stars and glitz at Raffles City Singapore. The Fly To The Stars tree is an exclusive collaboration between Raffles City and Guerlain. The inside of the tree is an immersive space with rings of lights while the façade has over 300 bees, galaxy of stars and honeycombs.


Fort Canning Park

Take an evening walk around Fort Canning Park and enjoy the lights. Decorations include a 15-metre tall lit display at Fort Green! This calls for a romantic date night during Christmas.


Vivo City

Vivo City has transformed into Candyland for Christmas 2022. Apart from the 15-metre tall tree at the plaza, there are plenty of adorable characters to pose with. Don’t forget to catch the snow!


CHIJMES

Be mesmerized by magical light projections on the façade of CHIJMES Hall. Apart from lights, there are carolling and live band performances to enjoy.
