The Jungle Night picture book and soundtrack was released on 23 March 2021. In conjunction with the book release, there is also an animated version of the project which features delightful pictures along with narration by the author’s son.
The words of Jungle Night are interpreted by Yo-Yo Ma. His cello playing brings to life different animal noises, from the sleeping cheetah to the green jungle frogs.

In the video, the story is followed by a rhythmic interpretation of Erik Satie’s Jungle Gymnopédie No. 1, with Yo-Yo Ma playing the melody on his cello, of course.
It seems to work, lulling the animated animals back to sleep.
