Themed cafes are always a fun spot to visit. Other than being able to find a spot to unwind and fill one’s tummy, it’s a great spot to be surrounded by favourite characters or themes. One of the most iconic themed cafes in Singapore, Kumoya ventured into the world of kawaii themed pop-up café in 2016 and successfully collaborated with some of the world’s most iconic characters such as Cinnamoroll, Gudetama, My Little Pony, Pusheen, Snoopy, Sesame Street, Little Twin Stars, Molang and more. Expect to see new and adorable guests visiting each time, each with its own unique menu item and dish.

In 2020, Kumoya reached the milestone of opening a sister outlet at the world-renowned Orchard Road. 2,000sf in size and located at Orchard Central, this outlet launched with San-X’s most popular relaxed bear – Rilakkuma and has since hosted guests such as the quirky group from Sumikkogurashi.

Their menu has no pork, no lard and no alcohol and prepared by a team of Muslim staff and colleagues in a manner that’s suitable for today’s modern Muslim dietary palette. All ingredients used in dishes are also sourced from major Halal distributors and suppliers. 


Anime Café

Located within Esplanade Mall, Aniplus is a one-stop destination for enthusiasts of the Anime, Comics and Games (ACG) lifestyle and ACG themed dining. Other than enjoying anime-themed beverages and snacks & food, the outlet combines a “collaboration cafe” from Japan by having an official anime merchandise store as well. Sushi Airways is a retro aeroplane-themed restaurant serving provides premium Modern Japanese dining. Located at Haji Lane, it is rated as one of the top sushi places in Singapore and is a fun spot to visit if you are unable to travel out of the country.

Located at the MAJ Aviation building at Seletar Aerospace View, bike enthusiasts and automobile enthusiasts alike can enjoy and appreciate not only vintage bicycles and immerse themselves in bike culture but also be surrounded by classic cars in a cosy ambience when visiting the Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Cafè. Enjoy western dishes surrounded by some snazzy vintage decor.

An actual replica of the production site of the hit sitcom FRIENDS, the Central Perk Cafe, also known as the FRIENDS café is an iconic spot identifiable with its orange sofa, green chair, neon signboards and brick walls. Their menu features memorable recreations of iconic moments and character quirks in the TV series featuring dishes such as Monica Garlic Aglio Olio, Mrs Braverman Cheesecake as well as their signature Central Perk Coffee.

Invite some magic in your life with Harry Potter inspired café Platform 1094. This café located in Serangoon is a cosy spot for magical conversations and hangouts to take place. One iconic dish served here is their Goblet of Fire drink which when ignited with a blowtorch will rise up in mesmerising swirls of flames. Do note that this drink contains alcohol and is not suitable for children. They can however enjoy some butterbeer too amongst the other yummy food items on the menu.

A familiar name for sure, Hard Rock Café is a brand that was founded by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton who wanted to create a place where rock stars could rub elbows with truck drivers while enjoying roadside cafe food and listening to the music they loved. Today they have two outlets in Singapore and serve burgers, sandwiches and other western-style foods.
