Served with a front profile of Molang as well as a cute pastel rainbow design, start the meal by getting snacks such as Golden Sweet Potato Fries, Kumoya’s special hand-cut fries, tossed with parmesan cheese and infused with premium truffle oil and a side of house-made truffle mayo dip, or our all-time favourite snack, Kumoya’s original crispy Karaage Chicken tossed with their house-made sweet shoyu glaze. We’re always excited to dig into this each time we return!

Mains at Kumoya’s Molang x Kumoya pop-up

At this pop-up, there are four mains that one can enjoy. The mains are Nighty-nite Sleep Tight Chicken Katsu Curry Rice, The BFF Salmon I Love You Burger, Up, up and away Happy Creamy Salmon Rice and last but not least, Friendship-is-love Carbona Cream Pasta

Awwww! Molang and Piu Piu are taking their afternoon nap! Featuring fluffy Japanese rice-shaped Molang, covered by a soft egg crepe “blanket” and served with Kumoya’s signature Japanese curry, enjoy this main dish that comes with crunchy chicken katsu, cute heart-shaped carrot, cloud fish cake, cheese and fresh garden salad.

The BFF Salmon I Love You Burger

The BFF Salmon I Love You Burger

If you thought Molang and Piu Piu couldn’t get any cuter, enjoy this cute Chef Molang mantou that is the top bun of a salmon patty burger. This burger is also filled with special tobiko mayo, cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato slices. On the side is the kawaii Chef Piu Piu mantou. Enjoy cute flower-shaped cheese and fresh garden salad as well as a side of curly fries. There is a vegetarian option available on request. Do note that there may be a presence of bones in the salmon patty. We enjoyed the dish overall but did wish that the Chef Piu Piu mantou would have had some form of filling for us to enjoy too.

Up, up and away Happy Creamy Salmon Rice

Want to go on a trip? Follow along as Molang soars away with Piu Piu in tow. A Molang fluffy Japanese rice sits comfortably in a ‘Hot-air balloon” mug and a little graphic with Piu Piu clinging on to some balloons. The fluffy rice Molang is surrounded by a “blue ocean” of house-made pea flower cream sauce with ocean-fresh Tempura Salmon, cute heart-shaped carrot, cloud cheddar cheese, cloud fish cake and steamed broccoli.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to try the Friendship-is-love Carbona Cream Pasta, but we heard that the super kawaii creamy carbonara Molang pasta is served with crispy turkey bacon, roasted Japanese Shiitake mushroom and other sides. A vegetarian option for this is also available to substitute the bacon and crispy turkey.

As always, we were excited to try the dessert at Kumoya’s Molang x Kumoya pop-up. This time there are four desserts, each with a different dessert base.

Love is in the Air Mango Berries Churros Fondue

Love is in the Air Mango Berries Churros Fondue

Love churros? Try the Love is in the Air Mango Berries Churros Fondue. With a home-made Molang and Pui Pui cookies, dip the freshly-fried golden churros into a warm dark chocolate fondue. It is also served with fresh mango and berries with special double-swirl Hokkaido soft serve. The churros were well prepared and we couldn’t help ourselves from finishing almost half a plate on our own.

Love on Cloud 9 Mango Strawberry Parfait

Love on Cloud 9 Mango Strawberry Parfait
Served with a double swirl lychee Hokkaido soft serve with mango pudding, and the centre-piece of a kawaii heart-shaped home-made Molang and Pui Pui cookie, this is one dessert to love. It is accompanied by strawberry-coated cornflakes, fresh berries and huge meringue cloud made out of fluffy cotton candy.

Happy Sunny Day Mango Berries Cake Jar

Happy Sunny Day Mango Berries Cake Jar

If you’re looking to have dessert all by yourself without sharing, enjoy a Happy Sunny Mango Berries Cake Jar. This fun cake jar is made with a sponge cake, mango jam, marshmallow, chocolate and granola. It is topped with Hokkaido soft serve and a kawaii Molang and Pui Pui macaron. As the smallest dessert on the menu, we were looking forward to indulging in it all by ourself but ended up not enjoying the sponge cake as much as we thought we would. The ice-cream and toppings were very good for pictures, but overall it was a little too sweet for our liking.

The last dessert is the Huggy Hugs Mango Berries Shibuya Toast served with fresh-churned Hokkaido soft serve, a kawaii Molang and Pui Pui macaron, handmade rainbow cookies, fresh cream with mango and berries and a sprinkle of hearts. We recommend sharing this dish.

Drinks at Kumoya’s Molang x Kumoya pop-up

With a menu of ten different adorable drinks to refresh and give anyone a pick-me-up, we tried the Molang Lychee Soda Slurper as well as the Floaty Clouds Mango Frappe. There are hot and cold options on the drink menu.

07 molang

Each drink comes with an adorable coaster that you can take home. We liked the Molang Lychee Soda Slurper that comes with pieces of real lychee, although after taking a sip out of it, was not able to fully taste the sweetness of the dessert anymore. The other drink was the Floaty Clouds Mango Frappe and we were told that it was a new flavour on the menu. It is served in a cute Molang cup sleeve with blue whipped cream on top, alongside star sprinkles and mini marshmallows to complete the kawaii look.
