Singapore’s first giant panda cub had his first weigh-in and his healthy weight gain is a testament to mum Jia Jia’s maternal skills.

On the morning of 15 September 2021, while panda mum Jia Jia was having breakfast, the panda care team at River Safari took the opportunity to give her panda cub his first weigh-in.

The baby panda, who was born on 14 August 2021, is estimated to have been 200 grams at birth.
