Where to Watch New Year’s Eve 2021 Fireworks in Singapore
This year, we will have to forgo the usual Marina Bay New Year’s Eve Countdown. Instead, for safety’s sake, with the current COVID-19 situation, the New Year’s Eve 2021 fireworks in Singapore will be decentralised, something that was also done for National Day 2020.
The New Year’s Eve 2021 fireworks will take place at 11 heartland locations across Singapore. These are:
Nanyang ward in West Coast GRC
The specific sites have not been disclosed as residents are not encouraged to go down to the fireworks location. Instead, Singaporeans are encouraged to view them on live-stream from home.
To do so, tune in to The People’s Association Facebook Page and join in the watch party to countdown to 2021 together.
Virtual Community Programmes Counting Down to 2021
In addition to live streaming the fireworks, the People’s Association will also be broadcasting vritual programmes on its Facebook Page from 7.30 pm onwards on New Year’s Eve.
Our Tampines Hub NYE Countdown to 2021
Our Tampines Hub will be holding a New Year’s Eve 2021 countdown to 2021 concert on Facebook Live and YouTube Live at 10 pm, 31 December 2020. Tune in from 10 pm to join the celebrations. At the Festive Plaza, there will also be a free screening of Disney’s Mulan at 8 pm.
Marina Bay Singapore Light Shows
While the iconic Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2021 will not be taking place, around the bay, there will still be light shows to check out into the night.
Shine a Light features 60 light beams shining up into the sky at the Promontory. It symbolises unity, positivity and resilience. The light display also represents a guiding beacon that underpins Singapore’s spirit as we head into 2021.
The Share the Moment display showcases artwork on iconic landmarks around Marina Bay. These light projections celebration the selfless spirit of the community and resilience heading into the new year.
If you do decide to head down to Marina Bay to view these displays, do remember to keep a safe distance from others and stay safe!
