Use augmented reality to dress up digitally, revisit places around Singapore from the past and look out for some upcoming surprises to be unveiled on 9 August with the new, free NDP Digital Play Pack App.
NDP Digital Play Pack App: Experience the Digital Side of National Day
Launched by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in partnership with the NDP Committee, the NDP Digital Play Pack App is designed to enable Singaporeans to experience the digital side of National Day.
The app features three components: Creating as One, Growing up as One and NDP as One.
Creating as One
Take pictures with unique 2D and 3D National Day stickers.
Use the 2D stickers to dress up as in Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force uniforms. These are great for kids who wish to capture a picture of themselves in these smart uniforms.
Other stickers in the NDP Digital Play Pack App feature August the Merlion, the National Day mascot.
3D stickers feature iconic Singapore landmarks such as the Singapore Botanic Gardens Bandstand and Gardens by the Bay’s Supertrees.
Growing up as One
Take a trip down memory lane by pay a digital visit to places around Singapore, including places from the past such as the National Theatre, Paya Lebar Airport and Big Splash.
NDP as One
To be unveiled on 9 August 2023, the NDP as One section of the app promises to bring the parade into the home digitally. Some of the digital experiences that you can look forward to include assets from the mobile column, immersive 360-degree videos and augmented reality fireworks.
Creating New National Day Memories
“With the NDP Digital Play Pack, we wanted to add a digital twist for the upcoming National Day celebrations in a fun, easy way. In partnership with the NDP Committee, we hope all Singaporeans can create new National Day memories, deepen interactions during the NDP and take a stroll down memory lane through Singapore’s cherished and historic landmarks. We invite all Singaporeans to enjoy and bond over our nation’s birthday with the NDP Digital Play Pack,” said Dr Ong Chen Hui, Assistant Chief Executive, BizTech Group, IMDA.
The NDP Digital Play Pack will be available for download on both iOS and Android platforms.
