Reading Workshops

Jungle Explorers! – MindChamps Parent-Child Reading Workshop
(for 3 to 4 years old)
21 Nov, 9 am – 11 am
Fee: $68
Mummies, Daddies and their Little Champs will go on a jungle expedition and experience how Integrated Phonics (using songs, rhymes and poems), Listening & Reading Comprehension (through Immersive Reading Strategies) and Role Playing can come together in a fun and out of the box way. Experience how these jungle animals come alive in our story and extend our imagination. Through this Parent-Child workshop, parents will build a deeper bond with their Champs, learn techniques, brainstorm ideas to establish meaning through language.
*Suitable for children born between Jan to Nov 2016. Parent accompanied workshop.

Monsters Alive! – MindChamps Reading Workshop
(for 5 to 6 years old in 2020)
21 Nov, 9 am – 11 am
Fee: $68
Champs will go on a monster expedition and experience how Integrated Phonics (using songs, rhymes and poems) and Listening & Reading Comprehension (through Immersive Reading Strategies) can come together in a fun and out of the box way.
*Parents will join the session during the last 15 mins of the session for a briefing by the trainer to share more insights what they explored for the 2 hours of fun filled activities.

Writing Boot Camp

Improve your child’s creative writing by attending this writing boot camp. Your child will be taught to identify what it takes to produce a good piece of creative writing composition. Through hands-on activities, they will get to use their imagination and learn how to express their creativity and critical thinking in their writing!

Kindergarten 2 in 2020
21 & 22 Nov, 11:15 am – 1:15 pm
Fee: $128
Theme: Monsters
– Exploring the fun filled theme of monsters
– Using adjectives to describe a creature’s features and personality
– Using physical stimuli to create a piece of writing
– Grammar and punctuation exercises to hone foundational skills

Primary 1 in 2020
18 – 22 Nov, 4:15 pm – 6:15 pm
Fee: $300
– Introduction of oneself through the use of descriptive words
– Using adjectives to describe an object and emote feelings
– Using multiple perspectives in writing
– Expressing oneself using verbs and adjectives to share a real experience

Primary 2 in 2020
18 – 22 Nov, 2 pm – 4 pm
Fee: $300
– Introduction of oneself through the use of descriptive language
– Explaining a situation and the cause-and-effect of that situation
– Writing a syllable poem to express a situation or feeling
– Using verbs and adjectives to describe a scene
– Using fine details to express an encounter

ACA Kids Boot Camp

N1 and N2 in 2020
18 – 22 Nov, 9 am – 11 am
Fee: $250
This is a theme-based programme that uses: stories; songs; discussions; drama activities; craft work; movement; music and improvised adventures to develop Confidence, Creativity and Collaboration. Each day, your child will take home a craft created in class that is related to and used in their themed adventure activities.

K1 and K2 in 2020
18 – 22 Nov, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Fee: $250
This is a creativity and acting skills-based programme that uses: stories; discussions; drama activities; movement; music; improvised activities, scenes and adventures to develop Confidence, Creativity and Collaboration. Every day your kid gets the opportunity to use, explore and engage with various props and costume pieces from the Creativity Chest. These items are used as a stimulus to create monologues, dialogues and improvised scenes. The Creativity Chest allows your kids to push their creative limits and lets their ideas soar!

Thinking Cap Workshop

Primary 3 and Primary 4 in 2020

21 & 22 Nov, 9 am – 6 pm
Fee: $228 (lunch provided)

Through MindChamps’ proprietary Thinking Cap Programme, you can empower your child with the crucial learning, thinking and communication skills needed to excel in school and beyond. This fun-filled workshop is specially designed to introduce the Champion Mindset to P3 – P6 students. Students will gain self-directed learning skills, creative problem-solving, divergent thinking skills and boost their confidence though exciting activities.

Primary Success Workshop

Let your Primary 3 to 6 child get a head start in 2020 by having loads of fun this November! Our workshops for this 2-day workshop is designed to enhance and further polish skills that are taught in school, deepen the understanding of concepts and foster collaborative skill through group or pair work.

Let us bring your child travel back in time to explore the beauty and wonders of the Chinese language and Culture through fun and interactive activities. This is a creativity, improvisation and acting skills-based workshop that uses stories, folk vocal art form – clapper talk; movement; hand craft and role playing to develop Confidence, Creativity and Collaboration within your child. As a highlight to the workshop, parents will be invited to join the class to experience a short performance led by the students.
