Civic District Outdoor Festival: See the City in a Different Light

Civic District Outdoor Festival

Join in the fun at the Civic District Outdoor Festival as Singapore’s Civic District morphs into a festive hub of good picnic food, awe-inspiring art installations, entertaining stage performances and a one-of-a-kind projection trail. This inaugural festival features the theme “When Time Stood Still” and takes place on 4, 5, 11 and 12 August 2017.

Multimedia Projection Trail

The main highlight of the festival, Hemera’s Dream features multimedia projections on four of Singapore’s heritage buildings (namely the National Gallery, the Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum and Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall). The trail promises a visually stunning experience and explores the festival’s theme.

The various projections will be played at 8 pm, 8.40 pm, 9.20 pm and 10 pm. Watch as vibrant and colourful images get displayed on the walls of these majestic buildings.

Feast at the Padang

What’s a festival without lip-smacking food? Civic District Outdoor Festival has you covered! Head towards St. Andrews Road and look for Hemera’s Feast! It features a spread of vendors such as &Sons, Coco Loco, Courtyard Cafe, Kerbside Gourmet, Ninja Cut, and many more!

Want a place to sit down and relax with all that food? Head to the Padang and lepak with Amanda Parer’s giant rabbit sculptures that are sure to amaze and amuse even the most fatigued of visitors.

These giant bunnies are part of efforts to transform the entire Padang into a giant picnic area for friends and family to kick back and relax while exploring the festival.

Live Performances

To get your feet tapping and heads bopping, the Civic District Outdoor Festival has live performances spread across three separate zones, Empress Lawn (Zone C), Padang Atrium (Zone D) and Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall (Zone F).

Each zone features its own unique performances and forms of entertainment so be sure to keep an eye out for all of them including local talents Joie Tan, Jack & Rai and MICapella. Cake Theatrical Productions will be presenting A Dragon Behind the Door & More! By Sweet Tooth with craft activities.
