It’s the post-Christmas weekend! For those who still have energy to spare after all the festivities and are on the lookout for some fun activities the whole family can enjoy together, check out our list of goings-on.

1. Koala Farewell Party

26 to 27 Dec, 10 am to 4 pm

It’s the last weekend for you to participate in the farewell party that the Singapore Zoo has organised in honour of these marsupial guests from Down Under, before they disappear from public view on 3 January 2016. Activities include face painting, paper crafts, party games, magic shows and more. Find out more.

2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens at Changi Airport

You’ve seen the movie (or should have). Now you can go back and re-immerse yourself in all things Star Wars with a visit to Changi Airport. Drool at the life-size models of X-Wing and TIE fighter planes, have fun hearing C3PO speak in 10 different languages or navigate a BB-8 droid through a mini obstacle course. Be sure to catch the character meet-and-greet on Saturday at 4pm, where you’ll have a chance to get up close with Stormtroopers and X-Wing pilots. Details here.

Join flautist Sin Jin How and harpist Jana Ang Fries on a journey through the world of music and imagination. You’ll even learn how to make your own mini harp using everyday items and have a chance of performing a tune with the duo. Admission is free but works on a first-come-first-serve basis due to limited seating.

4. Treasures of the World from the British Museum

Till 29 May 2016, 10 am to 7 pm

Basement Gallery, National Museum of Singapore

Sample the British Museum’s vast range of artefacts and treasures at this exhibition, curated from its immense troves. Coming from all over the world, the objects provide a window to different lands, cultures and, indeed, human history itself. The exhibit also has two Young Explorers’ Zones for kids age from four to 12.

5. Cinderella, A Fairly True Story

Bring a touch of fairytale magic to the festivities with this modern stage interpretation of the familiar classic story. Enchanting, original and with eye-popping visual effects such as the transformations of the pumpkin and Cinderella’s dress, this promises to be a treat for the whole family.

6. Celebrate Inuka’s birthday

Singapore’s very own locally born and bred polar bear turns 25 this Saturday 26 December, capping off a 10-day celebration. To mark the occasion, visitors can catch Inuka enjoying icy birthday treats at 1:20 pm, as well as learn more about the Arctic and the importance of sustainability at the Our Arctic Future photo exhibition located at the Frozen Tundra enclosure.

7. Immerse yourself in E3

Science Centre Singapore

The new E3 (E-mmersive Experiential Environments) permanent exhibit at the Science Centre uses virtual reality, 3D and interactive technology to transport visitors they would otherwise not have access to, such as underwater and deep space. Read more here.

8. Gardens by the Bay Christmas Wonderland

Supertree Grove, The Meadow and The Flower Dome

If you’re still revelling in the Christmas mood, head down to Gardens by the Bay where you can admire picturesque light sculptures and a toy-themed floral display, or enjoy carnival rides and games. Look out for the European-style festive market, which ends its run this Sunday. Comprising wooden huts dotted around the Supertree Grove, they offer Christmas knick-knacks as well as food and wine.
