Nursing Rooms in Orchard Road
1. ION Orchard Mall Nursing Room
The family-friendly facilities in ION are a little unique, with a separate nursing room and diaper room located a few steps away from each other. The nursing room is clean, roomy and well-equipped with a sink, a padded diaper changing station and a hot and cold water dispenser. There is also an armchair for nursing mummies to breastfeed with a curtain that can be drawn for additional privacy.
The diaper room is also brightly-lit and similarly equipped with a sink and hot water facilities. There are two cushioned diaper changing stations within the room, making it convenient and helpful for bigger families.
A handy baby diaper and baby bed liner dispenser are also present in the event you run out of clean diapers. Additionally, the diaper room contains a long, cushioned bench that has enough space for mothers to nurse and pump while doubling up as storage space for your diaper and shopping bags.
The only downside is the lack of electrical points in both rooms which will make expressing milk tough if your breast pump is not battery compatible and requires a power outlet.

2. Wisma Atria Nursing Room
Located inside the female toilet at Level 3, the nursing room at Wisma Atria is not the most private nursing room in the area. With only a curtain partition separating the nursing room and the female restroom, privacy is definitely compromised and mothers that are breastfeeding or expressing may be accidentally walked in on.
The nursing room contains a sink, hot and cold water dispenser, diaper changing station and a seat. However, there are no electrical points. It best suited for quick, emergency diaper changes.

3. Isetan Scotts (Shaw Centre) Nursing Room
Located on level 4 of Isetan Scotts, the Nursery Room is an area dedicated to family-friendly facilities.
Brightly-lit and spacious, the Nursery Room is stroller-friendly so wheel your little ones over if they need a quick feed or diaper change.
For breastfeeding mummies, there are two lockable breastfeeding rooms with each room containing electrical points, a cushioned chair and a small side table, perfectly equipped for you to nurse and express in private and comfort. In addition, there are three diaper changing stations, a sink, a hot water dispenser and two high chairs for babies who have started on solids.
The space is also sufficiently expansive to accommodate several families especially if they need to use different facilities (with the separation of the diaper changing and breastfeeding facilities) without compromising the privacy of nursing mums.

4. Ngee Ann City Nursing Room
Spick and span, airy and well-lit, the Mother’s Room at Ngee Ann City is a simple yet fully functional nursing room that checks all the boxes.
The space contains two lockable breastfeeding rooms that are each equipped with a small armchair, diaper changing station and an electrical point. The Mother’s Room also contains a hot and cold water dispenser, a sink and two cushioned diaper changing stations, allowing multiple families to use the Mother’s Room simultaneously.

5. Takashimaya Nursing Room
Head to level 4 of Takashimaya and you’ll find an entire area allocated to nursing mothers and parents of young children. The Takashimaya Nursing Room is the biggest and (dare I say) best nursing room amongst all the Orchard Road nursing rooms.
Tastefully decorated in shades of pastel blue and wallpaper with hot air balloons, the Takashimaya Nursing Room is extremely spacious and can easily accommodate a few families with strollers. It is divided into three areas: the waiting area, breastfeeding area and changing area.
The waiting area contains a high chair, seats as well as a television monitor for family members and spouses.
The breastfeeding area consists of a sink and five lockable breastfeeding rooms, where each room is equipped with a cushioned baby changing station, armchair for nursing mothers as well as an electrical point.
This makes it extremely convenient for nursing mummies as all the essential facilities are contained in a single space. Do note that there are strictly no males allowed inside the breastfeeding room in order to maximise privacy for nursing mothers.
The changing area holds five padded diaper changing stations, a sink as well as a Huggies diaper dispenser and baby bed liner. Hot and cold water facilities are also available and this area is accessible to both mothers and fathers. Well-equipped and furnished, the nursery room is a safe haven in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Singapore’s shopping district.

6. TANGS Nursing Room
The nursing room at TANGS is a personal favourite of all the Orchard Road nursing rooms. Pristine, airy and artfully decorated with pictures of Paddington Bear, the nursing room contains two cushioned diaper changing stations with baby crib mobiles to keep your little one entertained and happy while you give him or her a quick diaper change.
Sanitary bags are also provided as well as a hot water dispenser and sink. Within the nursing room, there is also two spacious breastfeeding rooms that are lockable, giving mummies much-needed privacy.
Each breastfeeding room comes equipped with a sink, armchair, small coffee table and an electrical point (located underneath the small coffee table).

7. Paragon Shopping Centre Nursing Room
Paragon’s Parents Room is located on levels 3 and 5 of the building. The Parents Room slides shut with a sliding door which is a little hard to slide close.
The Parents Room is decently equipped with two padded diaper changing stations, a sink and a hot water dispenser. Diaper disposal bags are also provided. Nursing mummies can use the lockable nursing room located within the Parents Room, which contains a cushioned chair as well as two electrical points.

8. Scotts Square Nursing Room
A no-frills nursing room, the nursing room at Scotts Square is equipped with the bare essentials- a padded diaper changing station, long cushioned bench and a sink. That aside, it is still a relatively roomy space suitable as a private room to nurse or a quick diaper change.

9. Mandarin Gallery Nursing Room
The nursing room in Mandarin Gallery is minimal yet functional. Large enough to accommodate a single stroller, the room contains a padded diaper change mat on the countertop, a sink and a cushioned seat for nursing. It is lockable from the inside, allowing privacy for parents.

10. Robinsons (The Heeren) Nursing Room
The nursing room at Robinsons (The Heeren) is bare to say the least. Merely a room with a lockable sliding door, the room only has a padded diaper changing table. Only recommended when you are in need of a quick fix for an emergency diaper change.

11. Far East Plaza Nursing Room
Surprise surprise, there is a nursing room at Far East Plaza. However, the nursing room is minimally equipped with the bare essentials – a diaper changing station, hot water dispenser, a sink and a bench. Recommended only for quick and emergency nappy changes. The lockable door allows for privacy to nurse if you need to do so.

If your little tot suddenly needs an emergency diaper change and none of these nursing rooms is close by, head over to level 1 of Wheelock Place. There is a diaper changing station in the female and handicapped toilet that will do just the trick.
