There is indeed something for every palate, even the most choosy ones!
The Acacia Geneo: Modern and Inviting Family-friendly Multi-functional Space
Upon entering the restaurant, we were enveloped by modern elegant warm earthy tones.
The Acacia Geneo is a versatile 200-seater event space thoughtfully designed to host a wide spectrum of celebrations, from weddings and baby showers to corporate functions and private gatherings with Swensen’s Unlimited’s signature buffet experience as its culinary heart. There is even an intimate bridal and prayer room facility on premise.
We were impressed with the expanse of space and “zen” feel along with the white creamy sofa seats and rattan furnishings. At the centre stage was a huge LED screen.
Watch Chefs-in-Action at Bustling Live Stations
Little Pea immediately spied white busy chef hats in action at the live stations and dragged us over to see what the chefs were up to.
There was much hustle and bustle at the live stations with chefs busily whipping up “unlimited pasta-bilities” such as Smoked Duck with choices of sauce or pasta.
Chefs were also busy carving sizzling roasted Angus Beef Ribeye or Lamb while piping hot satays and hand-stretched thin crust pizzas beckoned with enticing flavours such as Truffle Mushroom, Trio Cheese, Chicken Tikka and diners can also order freshly Baked Rice, a Swensen’s classic, with a choice of seafood or chicken.
Exclusive Hot Dishes to Fire up your Palate
We were also spoilt for choice with the impressive line-up of fresh cold cuts which included Crayfish, Scallops, Mussels, Clams and Salami.
If you’re a Mala or Sichuan cuisine fan, you will be pleased with the exclusive dishes at Geneo, like Ayam Masak Merah, Mala Firecracker Chicken and Mala Stir-fry Pot.
What really stood out for us was the Wok Charred Salmon – it was sous vide juicy perfection with a hint of char and unami teriyaki-like sweetness. The baked Crayfish Mornay was fresh creamy goodness…Yum! The laksa also had a mild spicy and nice tang.
Variety of Yummy Kids-friendly Dishes
Little Pea loved the cute mini-sized Brioche Beef Slider and cheesy Carbonara Pasta. She enjoyed helping mummy make Kueh Pie Tee for the family at the Perenakan section and begged for more crispy papadum as a reward.
Other to-go kids friendly option would be the Trio Cheese Pizza, Freshly Baked Rice, Breaded Fish & Chips, Beef Lasagna, Herbed Potatoes and Sauté Garden Vegetables. There should be something peckish here, even for the choosy ones!
Indulge in 48 Ice-cream Gelato Flavours, DIY your own Fusion Dessert
“Let go” and let your kiddos indulge in a Zero Sugar Sticky Chewy Chocolate Zer0 Ice-cream!
Hot crowd favourites were also Salted Butterscotch Crumble and Mao Shan Wang Durian. Unique flavours included Genmaicha, Smoked Oak Tiramisu, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Berry Hibiscus and Osmanthus Longan.
Kids could’t get enough of the towering multi-tier chocolate fondue fountain and many made their DIY ice cream earthquake or gelato waffle with a colourful smattering assortment of toppings or mini kuehs.
This colourful and vibrant dining experience left us “belly” happy, and we ended off the night relaxing and enjoying the evening breeze at the lovely open amphitheatre giant steps.
