As the focus of 2022 will be on sustainable food sources, residents can look forward to taking part in farming initiatives that include the pilot hydroponics programme, rooftop gardens and vertical gardens in the community. There will also be a series of learning journey tours for residents and fun activities suitable for young families.
TAMPINES 3065 Festival
Another interesting activity to look forward to is the “TAMPINES 3065 Festival” that will happen 28 May to 12 June. For this event, Our Tampines Hub will be transformed into a science-fiction themed space. In partnership with artists, creatives, residents and partners, this 16-day festival will allow facts and fantasies to come to life.
Highlights of this event include daily art and wellness workshops, fitness dance-off programmes, story-telling, a makers market and music events that will take place in the Town Square during the June school holidays. On weekends, there will also be sci-fi movie marathon screenings and a series of art & craft activities that all families can enjoy.
There will also be larger-than-life inflatable installations that are inspired by the creative designs of young residents. These installations will be located at the Town Square and Festive Walk East. More details about this exciting event will be released in due time.
