Jelita Mall has undergone a revamp and it has reopened with a fresh new look on the second floor. The Holland Road mall has undergone quite a transformation and now there are more diverse Jelita Mall food options but with some familiar shopping stores and, of course, the supermarket too.
Jelita Mall Food and Dining
One of the most exciting changes when it comes to the Jelita Mall food options can be found on the second floor of the Holland Road shopping mall.
While in the most recent past, there was a Delifrance, a Starbucks and a Sarpino’s Pizza outlet on the second floor of Jelita Mall, now, the upper level is dominated by a new food court.
Jelita Food Court: Jelita Gourmet
THIS WEEKEND: Unleash the Power of Stories for Kids with Workshops, Storytelling Session, Book Launches & More
Jelita Gourmet is the food court at Jelita Mall and immediately greets shoppers once they arrive at the second floor via the escalator.
There are quite a number of local food options within Jelita Gourmet.
These include Ipoh Tuck Kee Restaurant, the famous noodle house that has a history dating back to 1963. Amongst the star dishes at this food stall are the Hokkien Fried Dai Lok Mee, War Tan Hor and Yu Kong Hor. These are just some of the dishes that you can order from this food stall.
Another familiar stall that has multiple locations is the Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodle. This stall is located just the Tong Sheng Pork Ribs Prawn Noodle stall.
Noodles are very popular at the Jelita food court as there is also Ah Ma Chi Mian, which serves up bak chor mee and other types of noodles.
For those who wish to have some rice-based dishes, there is the Ming Xuan Roasted Delights with roasted meats.
Opposite is Lao Wang Chicken Rice, a chicken rice stall which also sells chicken bee hoon mee.
There is also a mixed rice stall.
At the far end is an Indian food stall with roti prata and more.
For those who wish to order western food, there is Common Grill by Collin’s.
One interesting point to note is that you can get draft beer on tap at the Jelita food court. In fact, there are three brews – two from the main drink stall and one from Common Grill.
Cafe
For those who wish to settle down at a cafe for a coffee, Jelita Mall now has a Craftsman Coffee outlet.
Shops at Jelita Mall
On the second floor, the shops at Jelita Mall include a Guardian pharmacy. It is now located adjacent to the escalators.
Wow! Let’s Party is also back at Jelita Mall. And another familiar shop at Jelita Mall is MyToyShop, now in a bigger unit.
For those who wish to purchase household items, there is a Houze outlet at Jelita Mall.
There is also a Mister Minit on the second floor. Other services at the mall include Kcuts.
The first floor of Jelita Mall is, of course, occupied by the 24-hour Cold Storage supermarket.
One thing that we sorely miss from the old Jelita is that there is no longer free parking at the mall. Instead, parking is now 4 cents per minute.
However, here is a tip: you can get complimentary parking at Jelita Mall with a minimum spend at Cold Storage supermarket.
