Conrad Centennial Singapore Staycation Review
1. Stay: Deluxe Family Room with 2 interconnecting rooms
For our larger-than-average family of five, spacious rooms are a big plus whenever we travel, and the Deluxe Family Room certainly did not disappoint.
We were given a pair of connecting King Room and Twin Room and were delighted to find more than ample space for the kids to sleep, play and bounce around in. The privacy and convenience, not to mention peace of mind, afforded by the connecting rooms greatly enhanced our experience.
The bathrooms were also luxuriously appointed, complete with twin vanities, a shower and a bathtub that is more than sufficient for 3 kiddos at the same time (yup, they tested it out!)
Our kids were utterly thrilled with the host of charming kid-friendly amenities that came with the Family Escape package, including a stationery and colouring set and fluffy child-sized bathrobes and slippers.
The highlight is of course the dreamy glamping tent in the kids’ room, decked out in starry fairy lights and even a galaxy projector that left our kids mesmerised as they drifted off to sleep at night.
Most hotel stays require guests to check out by mid-morning, so we were ecstatic to know that the package allows for a late check-out time of 4pm! This gave us more than enough time to enjoy a leisurely lunch before returning to the room to rest and pack up. No rush, no stress!
2. Dine: Complimentary breakfast + 25% off dining at all restaurants
Most mums would agree, one of the best parts of a staycation is not having to cook for the entire duration, and this staycation definitely did not disappoint!
With the diverse dining options on offer at Conrad Centennial Singapore, we did not even need to venture out of the hotel for our meals.
The Family Escape package included complimentary breakfast for guests at Oscar’s, the all-day dining restaurant, so be sure not to hit that snooze button on your alarm too many times! The bustling semi-open kitchen concept was homely and welcoming, with chefs at the ready whipping up made-to-order omelettes and freshly-squeezed juice.
For our kids who are used to a rushed bite on weekday mornings before dashing off to school, the buffet breakfast with its enticing spread of international delights and local specialities was a truly indulgent experience.
For an extra-special treat, yes there is even a full ice cream spread (complete with toppings) available at breakfast!
For the adults, a highlight of the meal was definitely the dosa live station. Enjoy perfectly crisp masala dosa cooked on the spot, served with your choice of mouthwateringly-fragrant curries and chutneys.
What to have for lunch and dinner (and maybe afternoon tea too)? With 25% off dining at all restaurants, you’ll be spoilt for choice. We sampled meals at the various restaurants to help you decide!
Fancy some top-notch Chinese cuisine or a hearty dim sum lunch?
Don’t miss out on dining at Golden Peony, a Cantonese restaurant showcasing a refined revival of Hong Kong Cantonese culinary heritage.
The Panko-crusted Crab Meat on Crab Shell was a highlight of the meal with its varied textures and flavours, while the Adler Wood-Smoked Fried Pomfret was a theatric experience in itself, served in a glass dome that was opened with a flourish to reveal the smoking fish within.
For a phenomenal buffet feast, check out Oscar’s, which promises a tantalising treat for the tastebuds with a seafood ice bar, live carving stations, noodle station (the wanton mee was a hit with our kids!), outdoor barbecue, and tandoor-fresh Indian breads. The freshly-made tandoori chicken was one of the best we have ever tasted!
End off your meal on a spectacularly sweet note, with the decadent 70% Valrhona chocolate fountain, lavish spread of artisanal handcrafted cakes and pastries (our top picks are the lava cheese tart and apple crumble), and premium ice cream which is always a hit with the kids.
We also enjoyed a leisurely afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge, which is currently hosting a Blushing Strawberry Afternoon Tea till 30 April 2025.
The tea set features a curated selection of sweet and savoury creations which highlight the natural beauty and sweetness of in-season premium Japanese strawberries. The indulgent spread is complemented by a free-flow selection of TWG Tea or Bacha coffee.
We thoroughly enjoyed the innovative strawberry-themed creations such as Strawberry Glazed Foie Gras and Earl Grey Strawberry Mousse. Foie gras and strawberries is a combination we’d never have imagined, but which go surprisingly well together!
Of course, the kids had a blast dipping the lush and juicy Japanese strawberries in Valrhona chocolate sauce, and daintily splitting and buttering their warmly toasted scones.
3. Play: Complimentary admission tickets to Kiztopia Marina Square
Our kids were psyched when they discovered that the staycation included a 2-hour trip to Kiztopia at the neighbouring Marina Square, and honestly, so were the adults!
Boasting over 18 different play areas over an 18,000 sq ft area and a two-storey high adrenaline-pumping slide, Kiztopia is certainly an indoor playground paradise for both the young and young-at-heart.
Our 5, 3 and 1 year old had a blast exploring the vast playground full of slides, interactive play zones, a mega ballpit, bouncy castle, ninja zone, trampolines, and of course the highlight of Kiztopia, a kid-sized classic train that runs at scheduled times.
Enjoy a Family Staycation at Conrad Centennial Singapore
Our family of five had a truly enjoyable and relaxing time, thanks to the host of activities and dining options available, as well as the top-notch service and friendly hospitality of the staff.
When we were accidentally locked out of our room thanks to Mr 5 year old’s curiosity, staff were prompt to respond to our call within minutes, and jovially came to our rescue.
The kids are already asking “can we stay at the hotel again??” – a sure sign that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
