Children’s Takeover @ CMSG
On Children’s Day 3 October 2024, Primary 4 and 5 students from Gan Eng Seng Primary School will take over Children’s Museum Singapore for half a day. They will be managing operations such as ticketing, serving as museum guides, and assisting with housekeeping processes.
This one-day event aims to empower children by entrusting them with front-of-house responsibilities, allowing them to exercise different skills including teamwork, problem-solving and communications. It will also offer them a rare behind-the-scenes look into museum operations, sparking their curiosity and appreciation for heritage through play.
From 3 to 5 October 2025, all kids can enter CMSG for free!

Sengkang Swimming Complex

The super fun water slides at Sengkang Sport Centre’s swimming pool is a great reason to visit the Sengkang Swimming Complex. We loved the adrenaline rush at a cost of $0.80 (for kids below 15) and $1.50 (for adults). Fun below $2? Yes it’s definitely possible! The pool area at Sengkang Swimming Complex is divided into four main sections. The left and right sections are where the lap pools are – with one sheltered lap pool and one uncovered. Egg Splash at Bird Paradise
This water playground has recently been revamped! Kids can make like a water bird and go wading through the shallow pools at Egg Splash, Bird Paradise’s water playground where fountains, slides and sprays await.
Egg Splash is suitable for children between the ages of 2 to 12. Children below 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult and children should be supervised at all times.
The operating hours for Egg Splash are from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. The use of Egg Splash is included as part of the admission to Bird Paradise.
Wan to Play Tropical Drift

For those who are staying in the north of Singapore, want to check out a new indoor playground? Wan to Play Tropical Drift has opened at the Woodlands Civic Centre. Designed with young kids in mind, this version skips the dramatic red ‘lava’ and instead uses blue boxes that players must clear within a set time limit. Amidst the landscaped garden at Parc Glen, there is a large playground that spans across two sand pits. A low rope obstacle course features various challenges for kids.
