The date has been set. Canberra Plaza will be opening on 18 December 2020. The neighbourhood shopping centre beside Canberra MRT will finally be open to welcome visitors.
Canberra Plaza has been built to be a distinctive landmark in the Canberra estate. Its architecture was designed to look like flowing bands, reflective of a river.
It can be found along Canberra Link, directly connected to the Canberra MRT station, NS12. It is also connected to adjacent residential blocks via link bridges.
Here’s what we know about Canberra Plaza.
Food at Canberra Plaza
There are three levels of shops at Canberra Plaza. As expected, there will be quite a lot of food options available. These are mostly found on Level 1.
What’s noteworthy is that there is not only going to a McDonald’s and KFC at Canberra Plaza, but an A&W as well!
The halal foodcourt, Canetine, will also be at Level 1.
Other food outlets at Canberra Plaza include Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Swee Heng 1989Mr Bean, Pho Street, Starbucks and Breadtalk.
Enrichment Centres and Shops at Canberra Plaza
Canberra Plaza also has tenants which serve the young families living in the Canberra estate.
These include The Ballet School, The Eton Academy, Beijing Language School and CMA Mental Arithmetic Centre.
For those who wish to keep fit, Gymm Boxx will also be opening at Canberra Plaza.
Other shops include Daiso, Guardian and 7-Eleven.
Supermarket at Canberra Plaza
There will be an NTUC Fairprice at Canberra Plaza – perfect for all the daily grocery needs of residents in the area.
Water Play Park
Not just filled with shops, Canberra Plaza will also have community and learning spaces.
Perhaps most exciting for families with young children, there will also be a Canberra Plaza water play park as well. The outdoor water play park has water hoops and other water play elements.
We are looking forward to the Canberra Plaza opening on 18 December 2020!
