As part of the series of virtual fire station visits, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has released a new video which provides a look at the Yishun Fire Station and its Unmanned Firefighting Machines.
Yishun Fire Station Virtual Visit
The Yishun Fire Station is located at Yishun Industrial Park A. The same building also serves the premises for the 3rd SCDF Div Headquarters. It serves the residential areas of Yishun, Khatib, Chong Pang and Sembawang, as well as the industrial areas of Senoko and Admiralty.
While we still can’t pay a fire station open house a visit on Saturdays, the virtual visit in the Bringing the Station to You series provides an opportunity to learn more about the men and women of the SCDF.
In the video, Lieutenant Lina hosts the virtual visit to Yishun Fire Station, also known as Station 31.

She provides a brief introduction to the heritage of the Yishun Fire Station and its roots at Sembawang Shipyard.
Unmanned Firefighting Machines
She also shares about the SCDF’s UFM. These vehicles can be used to fight fires at industrial premises while reducing the risk to the lives of firefighters. The video even shows the powerful machine in action.
