“Adopters” can bring home any donated item by making a direct contribution via PayNow.

The remaining unsold items will be channeled to St. Isidore Centre.

100% of the proceeds and collection from the sale will go to a local children’s non-profit organisation., St. Isidore Centre located at Potong Pasir to support their orphanage operations and shipping costs to the Philippines and Indonesia.

St. Isidore Centre is part of Willing Hearts Orphanage, a 100% non-stock/non-profit organisation based in the Philippines that works closely with the Philippine Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD Reg. No. 111RL-0008-2014).

How Families can contribute to the Woods in the Books Children For Children Donation Drive

If you wish to take part in this donation drive, you and your children can sort out their clothes, toys books to give away. Please note of the following donation guidelines:

  • Only clean and reusable books, clothes (for 6 to 18 years old), stationary, and small stuffed toys (<30cm in height) in good condition for sale.
  • Plush toys are to be packed individually into plastic bags.
  • Due to space constraints, a total of four bags (est. IKEA-sized bag) of donations will be accepted from each family.

Next, you can encourage and work with the child to write a note to the recipient of the donated item.

For example, it can be a simple “Thank You for adopting my toy”, “I hope you will enjoy my favourite bedtime story” or even doing up a drawing to make this act of giving more meaningful. Attach the note to the donated item.

Take the items for donation sale to Woods in the Books (Katong or Tiong Bahru) and Books Ahoy! (FORUM The Shopping Mall) from 30 Sep to 5 Oct.

Each family of donors will receive a special Children for Children sticker sheet as an acknowledgment of their efforts.

The items donated will be sorted out on 6 Oct 2023 at Woods in the Books Katong.

The donation sale takes place on 7 & 8 Oct 2023 at Woods in the Books Katong.
