The Istana Open House 2026 for the Hari Raya season and also in conjunction with the upcoming Labour Day will be held on Sunday, 19 April from 8.30 am to 6 pm. 

Istana Open House 2026 for Hari Raya and Labour Day is open to all visitors.

 

 

Entry to the Istana grounds is free for Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, and migrant domestic workers accompanying families.

Other visitors are required to pay an admission fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child (4 to 12 years old). Additional fees apply for other activities, such as the guided Istana Heritage Tour and visiting the Istana Villa.

What to Expect at the Istana Open House 2026 for Hari Raya and Labour Day

Visitors can look forward to a line-up of musical, choral, and cultural performances that reflect Singapore’s multicultural heritage.

 

 

The programme features familiar classics across generations, alongside performances rooted in Malay and Indian traditions, including dikir barat, Malay dance, Bharatanatyam, and Indian folk dance.

Performances will be presented by the MacPherson Philharmonic Orchestra, Punggol View Primary School Children’s Choir, Singapore Polytechnic Indian Cultural Society, Singapore Polytechnic Malay Language Society, and Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir.

Activities at the Istana Open House for Hari Raya and Labour Day

There will be hands-on activities such lawn bowling, painting a Singa the Kindness Lion bench, craft-making with recycled materials, and a scavenger hunt around the Istana grounds developed in collaboration with students from Singapore Polytechnic.

 

 

From 8.30 am to 6 pm at the Main Tent, you can look forward to a variety of activity booths, including face painting, balloon sculpting, and lawn bowls.

Explore activity and merchandise booths presented by social service agencies and organisations, including Life Community Services, Nan Hua High School, Parabowls Singapore, Singapore Kindness Movement, SPD, and Yayasan MENDAKI to learn more about their efforts in supporting and uplifting the community.

Visitors cna explore the Istana grounds, including its architecture, as well as its flora and fauna.

Another thing to do is go on a self-guided tour of the Istana Villa, available from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm, where visitors can view a collection of State Gifts presented to Singapore’s leaders.

There will be a guided Istana Heritage Tour for pre-registered participants. During the Istana Heritage Tour, participants will tour the grounds. 

 

 

All proceeds from admission to the Istana grounds, Istana Heritage Tour and the State Gifts Display will go to benefitting programmes supported by the President’s Challenge.

Proceeds from the social service agencies’ booths will go to the respective agencies.

In addition, there will be food stalls and drink booths at the Food Tent. There will also be food trucks will be near the Food Tent. 

Beyond the grounds of the Istana, on 19 April 2026 only, there will be free guided tours of the Presidential Library at Plaza Singapura.
