The West Coast ParkView playground provides plenty of fun with two different play spaces where kids of various ages can climb, bounce and challenge themselves on interesting play equipment.

The two West Coast ParkView playgrounds offer different play experiences. Older kids can tackle what looks like a giant purple octopus while younger ones not only have a pirate ship but can also explore a lookout tower.

A “flyaway” balloon invites kids to climb upwards.

Climbing up and down the play tower

While we’ve come across similar balloon play equipment in Little India and Sengkang, this one has a series of rope lines that daring kids can use to ascend and descend up to the platform above.

Slip sliding

Other play equipment at this section of the West Coast ParkView playground include a slip-sliding platform.

Bouncy trampoline

There is also a large, bouncy trampoline and an embedded merry-go-round.

A highlight of this second play area is a tower that kids can climb up.

The top of the lookout tower can be reached by stairs and a ladder. Inside, there is a little hammock where kids can hang out before making an escape back down to the ground using the slide.

A ridge of crates lies between the lookout tower and the playground’s pirate ship.

Pirate Ship

Kids can spring into the pirate ship playground and help to man the cannons. Or use the spyglass to look out for treasure.

Play panels at the playground

There are various play panels, including one where kids can turn a handle to activate sound.

While up on the pirate ship, kids may also be able to spot the sea creatures roaming close by.

In addition to the sea star, there is a sea turtle and a whale too!
