In view of the worsening haze situation in Singapore, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has informed schools to cancel all school activities for the remainder of the June vacation.

In a statement issued on the MOE website on today, 21 June 2013, MOE also indicated that should the 24-hour PSI level persist in the very unhealthy range over the following few days, MOE would take further guidance from the Inter-Agency Haze Task Force on further actions to be taken.

The 3-hour PSI level hit another record high of 401 at 12 noon today, 21 June 2013.

Many outdoor events and activities, including those timed to coincide with the June School Holidays, have already been affected by the haze. The Shell Family Road Safety which was to be held from 19 to 22 June has been cancelled, as have other activities such as the Heritage Hunt organised by the Malay Heritage Centre. The Wild Wild Wet water theme park in Pasir Ris also stayed closed for the second day since 20 June.
