Located on top of the Block 131 multi-storey car park, the Plantation Grange playgrounds offer fruit-themed fun with three play areas including a pineapple play area and a durian-looking play structure – the first that we’ve come across!
Pineapple Playground at Plantation Grange
The car park rooftop Plantation Grange playground can either be reached by taking a lift from the car park or by climbing up the stairs from the park below where the treehouse playgrounds of the Plantation Crescent Park can be found.
One of the play areas here is a pineapple playground. It can be found in front of Block 132A.

The pineapple playground is creatively designed out of a climbing sphere, similar to the climbing sphere found at the purple octopus playground at West Coast ParkView, and other locations like Little India.
This one is orange in colour with the green shoots of a pineapple coming out from the top. The interior of the sphere can be reached by a set of climbing nets strung out at the bottom.
A long green slide comes down from within the pineapple and there is also a climbing boulder and a set of swings beside it.
Tree Structure & Durian Climbing Frame
Around the corner in front of Block 132C, the fruit theme continues with another row of play equipment.
What will attract attention first is the tree play structure that kids can climb. It is a fun way for kids to stretch out and upwards outdoors.
However, one other piece of interesting equipment that we noticed here was a green climbing frame. It had prickly green thorns on one side – it looks like a durian-themed climbing frame!
The insides of the climbing frame are also coloured yellow! Just like a durian’s flesh!
Other play equipment at this Plantation Grange playground include a set of swings.
Toddler Plantation Grange Playground
Those with younger children can mooo-ve on over to the toddler playground in front of Block 133C.
This playground has equipment more suitable for younger ones.
Fun in the Neighbourhood at the Plantation Grange Playgrounds
We appreciated the effort that had gone into theming the playground at Plantation Grange playground and wonder how come it has taken so long for someone to create a durian-themed playground. Hopefully, we will see more innovative durian playgrounds around Singapore soon!
