From now till 12 May 2021, Kampong Glam will be lit up for Ramadan. This year’s light-up was launched by Minister for National Development Desmond Lee on 10 May 2021. It is the first time in more than 10 years that Kampong Glam will be lit up for Ramadan.

The 2021 light up at Kampong Glam is organised by One Kampong Gelam and is based on the theme of “Cahaya Ramadan” with Cahaya meaning light or radiance.

It aims to share the spirit of Ramadan, which starts on 13 April this year, with all who visit the historic precinct.
