Jewel Changi Airport Opens 17 April, Public Previews From 11 to 16 April

Jewel Changi Airport, the long-awaited new destination at Singapore’s international airport, will open to the public on Wednesday, 17 April 2019.

With a distinctive dome exterior made from glass and steel, Jewel Changi Airport is conceptualised to be a melding of a park and a marketplace.

Forest Valley & Retail Stores

Forest Valley, Changi Airport JewelThe centrepiece of the new complex is the four-storey high Forest Valley. This features two walking trails which the public can explore. Another highlight of Jewel is the Rain Vortex. At 40-metre tall, this is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.

Pikachu plush toysJewel Changi Airport features more than 280 retail stores and dining outlets. Amongst these are brands that will be making their first appearance in Singapore such as Shake Shack and Pokemon Center.

Other anchor brands at Jewel include Nike, which will have its largest store in Southeast Asia at Jewel, Marks & Spencer, MUJI, ZARA, UNIQLO, Shaw Theatres with IMAX and FairPrice Finest.

Food Junction will operate the Five Spice food court featuring over 10 local brands including Faai Di by Ka-Soh and Fu Lin Yong Tofu.

Public Preview of Jewel Changi Airport

Ahead of the official opening of Jewel Changi Airport, there will be four days when it is open for public preview. The free-of-charge but ticketed preview will be held from 11 to 16 April 2019.

There will be four three-hour time blocks between 10 am to 11 pm during each preview day. A total of about 500,000 preview tickets will be made available for the preview.

Registration for the Jewel Changi Airport preview opens online at jewelpreview.com from 12 March 2019, 6 am. Each member of the public can register for up to four participants.

More Facilities at Jewel Changi Airport

The new complex is integrated with Changi Airport T1 via the Level 1 Arrival Hall. It is also linked to Changi Airport T2 and T3 via air-conditioned pedestrian walkways.

The Jewel car park, which is shared with T1, will be fully operational from 11 April and spans five levels underground.

From 17 April 2019, an Early Check-in Lounge serving 26 airlines will also open at Jewel Changi Airport.

In mid-2019, a Canopy Park, located at the top floor of Jewel, is also set to open.
