You are what you wear. Clothing is like our “second skin” – a piece of material that forms a tactile, psychological and aesthetic relationship with our body. What we wear communicates our self-identity and a visual expression of what we stand for.
It is in this spirit that the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) has launched a three-year sustainable fashion programme, IMPACT Retail: Shape Tomorrow, Today! at Design Orchard Level 2 at the Cocoon Space (accessible by MRT Somerset, Orchard Boulevard, Orchard), dedicated to inspire everyone to rethink fashion and rethink impact.
IMPACT Retail: Three-Years of Fashion Sustainability Exhibitions, Immersive Workshops and Retail Activations
The IMPACT Retail: Shape Tomorrow, Today! programme was opened by Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs.
GO GREEN SG: Many free, fun, family-friendly eco activities
HOLIDAY COLOURING COMPETITION: Get Creative in the Playground In Your Style Competition with More Than $2,000 in Prizes To Be Won
This initiative is also part of Go Green SG 2026 activities, led by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE), to rally citizens, businesses and the community to take action and advocate change towards a more environmentally sustainable Singapore.
Currently housed on Level 2 of Design Orchard at the Cocoon Space, IMPACT Retail has already launched the First Edition Theme: Denim Decoded, focusing on how we can reduce denim resource usage and promote creative denim recycling/upcycling innovations.
The Second Edition: Bio & Next-gen Materials, will explore the future of fashion with innovative bio-based materials.
The Third Edition: Plastic Circularity will promote “trash to treasure” through pop ups, maker workshops and creative installations.

Experience the Journey of Denim Decoded through an Escape-room style workshop and Upcycling craft
Ever wondered what’s the difference between your jean labels?
Join in the Denim Decoded Escape room style Workshop and become fashion detectives to solve clues across the denim journey from cotton to jeans.
As the mystery unfolds, we slowly understood how production choices at every stage from the choices of cotton farms to dyeing houses to even branding shape the story of fashion labels versus an eco-label.
After the escape room experience, rescue and repurpose old denim off cuts into your own personalised denim charm.
