In fact, there is easy access to the Mingxin Foundation Rambler’s Ridge walking trail from the bridge.

With the serpentine HPL Canopy Link, there is no longer a need to cross the sometimes busy Tyersall Road. And since the bridge has a rampway, it can even be used by parents with strollers.

Bambusetum

It also affords a nice view of the bamboo plants in the Bambusetum.

As you walk across the bridge, you can also look out for different featured habitats.

On the Learning Forest side of the bridge, to the west of the bridge is planted as a mixed deciduous forest with trees such as the Yang Na. On the eastern side of the bridge is a dry dipterocarp forest, characterised by trees with a low, open canopy.

On the Gallop Extension side of the HPL Canopy Link, the ridge is planted as a lowland hill forest and heathland.
