Land Tour 2: Sustainability in Fish Farming & Aqua Culture

In a fast-paced society such as Singapore, trades such as agriculture and farming are fast disappearing. In this tour of Qian Hu Fish Farm, participants will get to go behind-the-scenes and uncover the secrets of the fish farming industry as they visit one of the leading ornamental fish exporting companies in Singapore and the region.

See how this farm, which has been in operations since the 1990s, has adopted the use of technology and innovations to stay relevant and competitive in the ever-evolving industry.

Participants will learn the difference between traditional and high-tech fish farming. Get a  first-hand look at how Qian Hu Fish farm is helping to achieve Singapore’s “30 by 30 vision”. This also brings up the opportunity for conversations on topics such as sustainability and food security.

Land Tour 3: Kampong Lorong Buangkok Experience

In a nation full of skyscrapers and high-rise housing, Kampong Lorong Buangkok is one of the last few remaining vestiges of rural life on mainland Singapore. Relive the good old days and revel in nostalgia as you step into an actual kampong house with a wooden attap roof surrounded by electrical cables hanging overhead and banana trees.

Sea Tour: Kelong Cruiser Tour

Take to the seas and discover the northeastern waters of Singapore on a two-hour kelong tour on board a half cabin cruiser. An exciting day out for the whole family, the tour will allow you to enjoy the wonderful sights off the coast of Singapore. Learn about kelongs and its many secrets that you may never have known.

You will board a cruiser, learning about the sea channels that criss-cross our water and seafaring lingo. Some highlights include learning about the functions of a kelong, our neighbouring port in Malaysia, Pasir Gudang, and even trying to catch fish in the sea (extra charges apply).

Learn about land reclamation and steps that are being taken to help combat rising water levels due to climate change.

Air Tour: Little Day Outing at Aeroviation Plus An Air-Venture at Little Day Out’s Fly High Air-venture Camp! Save The Date!

Have an Air-Venture at Little Day Out’s Fly High Adventure Camp

Little Day Out is excited to offer new onsite experience that kids can enjoy! Taking place from 2 to 4 December 2020 (Wednesday to Friday), the Fly High Air-venture Camp will introduce participants (aged 6 to 12 years old) to everything related to aviation, including aerodynamics, birds and flying! In the afternoon of 4 December 2020, we’ll have a special aeroplane-themed experience Little Day Outing for the whole family too.

Some things to look forward to include taking flight lessons at an actual flight school in Singapore and getting a chance to try out professional flight simulators. Participants will also be brought bird watching with a professional guide and have a chat with real-life pilots!
