While it is not possible to hold a physical concert this year, Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp are once again collaborating to bring the National Day Concert 2020 to audiences in Singapore.
Gardens by the Bay and Mediacorp’s National Day Concert 2020
The National Day Concert 2020 will celebrate Singapore’s strength and steadfastness in battling COVID-19 and aims to bring communities together with a shared sense of belonging.
The one-hour concert will be shown on Mediacorp’s channels, including Channel 5, meWATCH and meWATCH YouTube, at 8 pm on 10 August 2020.
Felix Loh, CEO, Gardens by the Bay, said: “We received amazing support for our inaugural edition last year with a record 60,000 turnout. While the unusual situation this year has meant not being able to hold a physical concert at the Gardens, it has not stopped colleagues from both organisations from bringing our national celebrations into the hearts, minds and homes of Singaporeans. As a national garden, Gardens by the Bay not only provides a green space for rest and recreation, but also serves as a community anchor to bring people together. This sense of unity and social cohesion must continue, come what may.”
