Dinosaur sculptures make their appearance at some of the most random places in Singapore. They can pop up along a park connector at the airport or in the middle of a park in Woodlands. They have also appeared at of the unlikeliest places that we would have guessed – there are dinosaurs at Hersing Centre in Tampines.
Hersing Centre Dinosaurs
Located along Tampines Street 92, where the industrial estate is located, the Hersing Centre is made up of two buildings. One of these is the Hersing Kitchen, a food factory.

Painted in dark orange colour, the Hersing Centre buildings stand out from a distance, and can even be spotted from the Pan-Island Expressway.
What may be less obvious until you arrive at the Hersing Centre are the multiple dinosaur sculptures that are on display around the compound’s car park.
If your kid loves dinosaurs and would love to get upclose to them, he or she can do so with this mini Jurassic Park in Tampines.
There are different varieties of dinosaurs on display.
Kids can pose with fan favourites like a triceratops and a T-rex. While these are not necessarily to scale, they will still be huge to little ones.
Jurassic Park at Hersing Centre
There is also a dilophosaurus of Jurassic Park fame at the Tampines Hersing Centre car park.
Another interesting statue, standing beside a raptor, is that of a megafauna. This adds variety to the dinosaur statues at Hersing Centre.
This smiley beast is a Diprotodon optatum, the largest marsupial that ever lived. It is considered the heaviest of Australia’s megafauna.
More Dinosaurs Around Singapore
The good things about heading down to the Hersing Centre to view the dinosaurs are that it is a free experience (just pay for parking if you are driving in) and that you will find it quite empty.
However, just be careful to look out for vehicles as the dinosaurs are located on the grass verges of a car park, and there will be trucks moving in and out to the food factory building.
If you have a kid who loves dinosaurs, other spots that you may wish to visit in Singapore include Jurassic Mile at Changi Airport, Fu Shan Garden in Woodlands and Jurassic Nest Food Hall at Gardens by the Bay where there are animatronic dinosaur models.
