Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park can be found just beside the Zhenghua Nature Park, next to the estate at Petir Road. The quiet neighbourhood park provides a lush green spot with a rolling landscape for park-goers and residents to enjoy.
One of the most distinctive features that visitors to Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park will notice is its interesting landscaping. The park’s pathways are lined with medium-sized granite boulders.
The mossy, green stones almost reminded us of the trolls from the Frozen movie franchise. We could imagine them coming alive and rolling about late in the evening when no one was looking.
We enjoyed walking along the paths which crisscrossed the woodland hillside. Bridges with wooden rails, spanning a small ravine, added to the rustic feel of Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park.
Climbing the Slope at Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park
Ascending the slopes of Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park, park goers will find themselves in a small, forested area at the summit.
The reward for visiting the summit early in the day is the sound of birdsong coming from amongst the trees. You can also take in the view of the park, stretched out below, from the higher vantage point.
Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park Playground
The Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park Playground can be found close to Block 209 Petir Road. Set under the shade of some trees, the Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park playground is set up like an obstacle course.
The two ends of the playground are bookended by orange slides. In between, there are various climbing obstacles such as ropes, bars and hoops that kids can climb through. Children can play “the floor is lava” as they try to get from one end to the other.
The Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park playground also has a rotating swing that kids can climb inside and a horse-shaped teeter-totter for toddlers to ride on.
What Else is at the Park
On the slopes of Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park are two fitness areas.
There is also a gated community garden at the base of Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 2 Park.
You may also encounter monkeys that come across to the park from the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.
From the park, you can also head over to the Bukit Panjang Butterfly Garden a few blocks away.
