Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park Playgrounds

Starting off with Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, the park which lies on the boundary between Bishan and Ang Mo Kio, is home to three playgrounds. These are the Inclusive Playground, Adventure Playground and the Water Playground. In particular, the Water Playground is a unique spot where kids can experience the flow of water across an interesting landscape. Just be sure to visit on a day when the playground is in operation.

Bishan North Neighbourhood Park
One of the newest playgrounds in Bishan can be found at Bishan North Neighbourhood Park. Just a short walk from the shops at Bishan North, the recently renovated playground features an interesting mulit-faceted swing set where kids can swing away facing each other. There is also another swing set fitted with a trio of bucket seats that go around like a merry-go-round. A play tower also stands close by.

Bishan Active Park Playground
If your kids are up to a climbing challenge, the playground at Bishan Active Park offers that with what we think is a pretty space-aged looking playground. Even though it isn’t very large, it still offers a variety of climbing challenges – through hoods and across some ropes.

Bishan Clock Playground
Did you know that Bishan is home to a heritage playground? Stand at the edge of the Bishan bus interchange is the Bishan Clock Playground. This classic mosaic playground stands frozen in time, watching as traffic passes by at the nearby road in front of it. The Bishan Clock Playground is a holdover from an era in the 1980s when the Housing & Development Board was gung-ho in going about designing their own inspired playgrounds.

Junction 8 Playground
Junction 8 is a hub for Bishan. If you are there shopping with the kids and end up looking for a place for them to expend some energy, you will probably end up at the rooftop garden at Level 3. Here, there is a vertical playground that maximises the use of space, and kids can climb inside and upwards for some adventure time.

Clover Crescent Playground
Kids can explore this treehouse themed playground set in the middle of a leafy park at the Clover estate. A basket swing stands beside it, inviting kids for a swing and to enjoy the breeze.
Binchang Rise Park
Ship, ahoy! Bichang Rise Park, also within the Clover estate, is home to a ship playground. Climb aboard and have an adventure at this small but green park.
3G Park at Shunfu
Located next to the Marymount MRT station exit, the 3G Park @ Shunfu has a variety of playground equipment that kids can enjoy. These include a ship-themed playground as well as an interesting “molecule” shaped play structure, and swings too!
Bishan Ridges
One of the newest playgrounds in Bishan can be found at Bishan Ridges. Located on the rooftop of the multi-storey car park, the Bishan Ridges playground has play areas with ship-themed equipment as well as some supersized animals that add a touch of whimsy to play time.

Bishan Towers
The Bishan Towers playground draws inspiration from the adjacent Kallang River and the surrounding nature. This includes a structure inspired by mangrove trees that offer climbing opportunities. Younger kids can play at a sampan-design play area, or even hop inside a suspended boat.

Bishan St 13 Playground
This playground is a hidden gem in Bishan. It may be an oldie but it is a goodie, especially for older kids. In front of Block 158, Bishan Street 13, there is a small neighbourhood playground where the first Wallhola vertical playground in Singapore can be found, along with two other netted, climbing play structures. Beside the vertical playground, the shady, neighbourhood patch also has two other climbing structures for kids to enjoy – a net tunnel and tower with a slide.
