Who doesn’t love water parks in our tropical climate? And one spot where you can enjoy some splashing fun and (in our opinion) Singapore’s best lazy river is Adventure Cove Waterpark at Resorts World Sentosa.

Adventure Cove Waterpark is one of Resorts World Sentosa’s many attractions and is even home to Southeast Asia’a first hydro-magnetic coaster. It is also also situated right next to the Singapore Oceanarium, which means that you will get to see some of the marine creatures in the park.
Plus, it also has our ultimate favourite water activity: the opportunity to snorkel with 20,000 marine fish.

Overview of Adventure Cove Waterpark & Some Practical Info
There are 15 attractions to check out at Adventure Cove, and we will take you through them, protips included.
As you enter the park, you will see the washrooms and lockers on the left while the souvenir shop – Reef N Wave Wear on the right.
Lockers are available for rental within the park. Small ones (360mm high x 370mm wide x 500mm deep) cost $15 per day and large ones (910mm high x 370mm wide x 500mm deep) cost for $25 a day, with unlimited access
Before you decide to rent a locker, take note that there are two areas with lockers.
The first is just inside the park’s entrance. An alternative set of lockers can be found deeper into the park, across from the Dueling Racer attraction. Personally, we favour these lockers are they are less crowded and the bathrooms are within easy reach.
The middle section of the park is where you can find Bluwater Bay, the waterpark’s wave pool. On either side of Bluewater Bay are the park’s water slides – height and weight restrictions apply.
At the furthest end of the park are Rainbow Reef and Splashworks.
Bluwater Bay
We were told Bluwater Bay was the best wave pool in Singapore. Waves start up about every 20 minutes and it can get pretty fun as you feel like you are in a washing machine.
Life jackets are recommended especially for children.
The Thrilling Rides at Adventure Cover Waterpark
There are six thrilling rides and slides to take, mostly for children above 122cm. These are located around Bluwater Bay.
If you are facing Bluwater Bay, to the left are Whirlpool Washout and Spiral Washout. These two attractions are a good place to start if you wish to build your way up to faster slides.
Spiral Washout is the slower of the two water slides which features spins and swirls.
On the right of Bluwater Bay are Pipeline Plunge and Tidal Twister, rides where you can plunge down.
For children between 107 to 122cm, the Riptide Rocket and Dueling Racers are great options.
Riptide Rocket is the ride where you will find the longest queue. It Southeast Asia’s first hydromagnetic coaster and simulates a roller-coaster ride, but in a water slide format, for adrenaline junkies.
Riders are transported up on a conveyor belt on a tube slide to the top and released into the ride like a rocket and in a matter of minutes flushed into a pitch dark tunnel to the end.
Dueling Racer is situated right next to Riptide Rocket. It is made up of two side-by-side slides where rides can duel it out on a racer mats to get down the bottom as fast as they can.
Rainbow Reef – Snorkeling amidst the Marine Life
We love Rainbow Reef as it offers a unique opportunity to snorkel in a safe environment with plenty of fish and lifeguards around.
Snorkeling in the open sea can be an intimidating experience, hence Rainbow Reef is an absolutely noob-friendly spot to start under-the-sea adventures!
Children will need to be a minimum height of 107 cm to enter Rainbow Reef. Each visitor will have to wear a life jacket when entering the tank.
First-timers should get used to breathing through the mouth. Swallowing bits of salt water might be a common occurrence, simply breath slowly and try not to swallow the water.
What will greet you in the water will be the myriad of sealife – Sea Stars, schools of fish and spot Dory – the Blue Tang. Our efforts to try to touch the fish were in vain obviously, as they would deftly swim out of our reach.
Splashworks – For Tweens, Teens and Adults
Prove you are the ultimate daredevil at Splashworks! This is a water-based obstacle course at the furthest end of the park.
Expect exciting cliff jumps, balancing beam, rope bridge and a victory bell only for those who can deftly climb up an inclined wall before jumping straight into the 2.9m deep pool.
Water Fun for Everyone in the Family
There is something for everyone at Adventure Cove Waterpark.
For the preschoolers, they would enjoy Big Bucket Treehouse! The water depth is a mere 0.3m, there are cargo nets, spray guns and water buckets to make everyone soaking wet.
The Big Bucket Treehouse has two slides, a great way to introduce young children to the thrills of water slides.
There is also a shallow wading pool – the Seahorse Hideaway next to Dueling Racer.
You will also definitely want to go for a relaxing round around the Adventure River. This is a lazy river that winds around Adventure Cove Waterpark.
The Adventure River is the best lazy river in Singapore and a variety of different “experiences” as you float around.
It meanders through a dark Grotto with bats and treasure boxes.
Within the Grotto, you can even make a stop to view an aquarium full of fish.
Go under a waterfall and find yourself at an Aquarium Tunnel, teeming with river fish.
Then, float past Ray Bay where enthusiastic rays greet everyone floating by.
You can even steal a peek at the dolphins; just look out of the barriers once you see dolphin sculptures!
There are several entry points to the Adventure River. One is close to the entrance, while another is near The Bay Restaurant. Yet another entrance can be found close the Marine Mammal Habitat. Grab a tube float and get floating.
Wet Maze
Above the Grotto, on the rooftop, there is also a Wet Maze that kids can navigate through while trying to avoid the buckets of water splashing down. This spot is easy to miss if you just get caught up with all the water slides on the ground level.
Sandy Spots
Families can also visit sandy spots in Adventure Cove Waterpark.
These can be found near the Marine Mammal Habitat and Rainbow Reef. Take a seat at the deck chairs and let the kids enjoy playing with sand.
Water Safety and Life Jackets
Googles and floats are not mandatory as every visitor can wear a life-jacket. However, parents should supervise their child at all times.
Although there are lifeguards keeping vigilant watch in many parts of Adventure Cove Waterpark, parents and caregivers should be mindful of slippery surfaces, steps and other potential hazards.
Premium Add-ons at Adventure Cove Waterpark
If you would like a close encounter with marine creatures, head over to the Marine Mammal Habitat.
You can check out Ray Bay and feed velvety rays or get to meet dolphins here.
For a more comfortable stay at Adventure Cove Waterpark, you could also rent a Cabana to chill in a sheltered and private spot.Separate charges apply.
Other Essential Information for a Day at Adventure Cove Waterpark, Resorts World Sentosa
Hungry? There is The Bay Restaurant where you can purchase a meal and drinks.
There are also several kiosks located within the park that serve snacks.
There are also body drying kiosks within the park. These can be used for a fee. Or, you could bring along a towel instead to dry off if necessary.
One protip is to wear aquashoes throughout the visit so you don’t need to walk around barefoot.
Another protip is that you may wish to bring along your own waterproof pouch for your phone. You can purchase one within the park but it will set you back a hefty $40 at a minimum.
Baby Care Centres are located at the entrance plaza (near the lockers area). We also spotted one on the second floor above the Grotto.
There is also a lounge area on the second floor above the Grotto if you wish for a place to hang out.
Play safe and have a whale of time!
