Bishan North Neighbourhood Park has just recently received a revamp and the oval-shaped park, set in the midst of a series of flats just off Bishan Street 22, now has a new Bishan North Neighbourhood Park playground with a variety of swings along with a play mound and play tower.
Laid out on a slope, Bishan North Neighbourhood Park is bounded on all sides by a road which lead to the surrounding blocks. The neighbourhood park is located just to the west of the Bishan North Shopping Mall and not far from Bishan Heights Park.

Previously, the Bishan North Neighbourhood Park playground consisted of a play structure with multiple, colourful. However, with the latest revamp, it has been remade into a park with a new play tower as well as different sets of swings for all ages.
At the northern end of the park is where you can find the Bishan North Neighbourhood Park’s play tower.
The green play tower extends upwards, providing opportunities for kids to ascend to the top level before taking the grey, enclosed slide back down to the padded ground.
Alternatively, there is also a fireman’s pole at the lower level.
Speaking of slides, the playground at Bishan North Neighbourhood Park also has a low play mound. Kids can climb to the top of the mound and slide back down on an open slide, or crawl into a tunnel that cuts through the play mound.
Swings at Bishan North Neighbourhood Park
However, what many will be drawn too at the Bishan North Neighbourhood Park are its swings.
There swings for different ages at the park.
The youngest ones can be placed into the suspended bucket seats swing. These trio of swings can be spun around to provide a joyful time for little ones – it is similar to a mini carousel that young kids can enjoy.
Older kids will want to kick it up at the pentagonal swing set. This features five swings where can face each other as they soar through the air together. The seats even have a back strap to provide some support.
There are also spring riders around the periphery of the swing area where young ones can sway back and forth, a great way to enjoy some movement at the playground.
When we mentioned that the swings cater to different ages, adults are not left out either!
There are a couple of shaded garden swings set out at the Bishan North Neighbourhood Park where adults and kids can enjoy sway about together too.
Bishan North Neighbourhood Park
The Bishan North Neighbourhood Park now also has a series of barbecue pits that can be booked by residents.
Park benches provide resting spots along the pathways.
A community garden also occupies pride of place at the park, as residents with green fingers tend to the plants inside.
Bishan North Neighbourhood Park is located between Blocks 266 and 287 Bishan Street 24.

For kids who wish to seek out more playgrounds around Bishan North Neighbourhood Park, there is another playground in front of Block 261 Bishan Street 22.
Other parks to explore around the area include Bishan Active Park. There is also a Stacked Box playground at Block 229, but it is unfortunately closed off at the moment.
