Artist Yip Yew Chong is back with a new, playful exhibition at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, “Adventures of Grumpy Cat” from 16 June to 30 August 2026.
Held at the East Garden Gallery on Level 1 (near the grand staircase that leads to basement), Adventures of Grumpy Cat showcases 30 original paintings centred on the artist’s beloved feline character.

Grumpy Cat’s signature grumpy expression has won it many fans.
Getting to Know Grumpy Cat Better
At the exhibition, we get to learn more about Grumpy Cat through labels that reveal more about its personality. For example, even though it may alway have a grump expression on its face, Grumpy Cat actually has a curious, light-hearted personality.
We even learn that Grumpy Cat used to work an office job before quitting to become an artist full-time. (We think that Yip may be projecting himself on the furry feline – or is HE secretly Grumpy Cat?)
Visitors can also pose for photos with Grumpy Cat at interactive installations throughout the East Garden Gallery, including the ‘Grumpitiam’, inspired by Singapore’s beloved coffee shops and featuring familiar favourites such as kopi, kaya toast and chicken rice.
There will be appearances by the artist at the exhibition at various times. Meet the artist at these dates and times:

You can catch Yip Yew Chong at work on Saturday, 18 July 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm, where he will be creating a new Grumpy Cat artwork inspired by The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and its iconic waterfront.
There are also prints of Yip Yew Chong’s works and other merchandise for sale too.
