
Pesta Ubin is the chance to celebrate Pulau Ubin each year. This year, Pesta Ubin 2025 takes place from 14 to 28 June 2025 and Ubin Day is on 28 June.

To celebrate the wonders of Pulau Ubin, there are many different activities and events being held during Pesta Ubin 2025.
Visitors to the island during the Pulau Ubin festive can look forward to exploring lush trails, uncovering hidden stories, capturing island moments, cycling along scenic routes, and spotting rare birds.

Pulau Ubin: Singapore’s Island Back in Time
Pulau Ubin is situated off the northeastern coast of Singapore. From the time you step off the boat at the jetty at Ubin Village, it feels like you have been transported away from the cares of mainland Singapore.
Roads and trails run across Pulau Ubin allow for exploration of its sights that include disused quarries, old kampongs and nature trails. One of the star attractions on the island is the Chek Jawa habitat and its variety of flora and fauna.
It is no wonder that the island holds such a beloved spot in the heart of nature-loving Singaporeans – cause for celebration at the annual Pesta Ubin festival.
Pesta Ubin 2025 Highlights: Family-Friendly Events & Activities
There are plenty of different outdoor events being held during Pesta Ubin 2025. Some of the events require registration. Many of the popular events get snapped up quickly.
Here is a look at some of the activities that will be taking place between 14 to 28 June 2025 during Pesta Ubin where you can join in the fun and get to know Pulau Ubin better.
1. Pedal Ubin by NUS Toddycats
Sunday, 14 June, 8 am
Go on a cycle tour to get an introduction to the natural and cultural heritage of Pulau Ubin. The ride will cover the Sensory Trail, Sungei Ubin, Freshwater Ponds, Pekan Quarry, Jelutong Mangrove (Ah Ma’s drink stall), German Girl Shrine and the Ubin Living Lab and Mangrove Arboretum. The tour will start off at the Ubin Town Opera Stage. Registration is required here.
2. Love Chek Jawa Walk by Cicada Tree Eco-Place

Want to get to know Chek Jawa, the diverse eco system at the south-eastern tip of Pulau Ubin? Its wild ecosystems include a rare rocky shore, rich seagrass meadows, ancient coral rubble, lush mangrove and coastal forests. It also supports significant numbers of both resident and migratory bird species. Join a walk organised by Cicada Tree Eco-Place to to see and learn why Chek Jawa should be gazetted as a Nature Reserve. The guided tour is free but participants will need to make their own way to Chek Jawa. There is a capacity of 20 persons per walk. Registration is required.
3. Ecological and Heritage Learning Tour by Liang

Join a unique adventure with the Ubin Ecological and Heritage Learning Tour, guided by an STB-licensed local guide. This 3.5km journey from Ubin Jetty to Puaka Hill offers insights into the island’s rich history, diverse wildlife, and traditional kampong architecture. Highlights include learning about rubber tree tapping, exploring the charming town square, and visiting the iconic “jetty” toilet. The tour concludes with breathtaking panoramic views from Puaka Hill. Registration is required.
4. Pesta Ubin Forest Clean-up at Pulau Ubin by NSS
14 June, 9 am
Join a Forest Clean-up at Pulau Ubin organised by the Nature Society of Singapore. This guided clean-up walk blends hands-on conservation with biodiversity education, offering insights into the island’s rich ecosystems and our impact on the environment. As you clear debris, learn about conservation challenges and discover ways to be a better steward of nature. Registration is required.
5. Birdwatching at Pulau Ubin by NSS
15 June, 7.30 am

Experienced birdwatchers from the Nature Society Singapore Bird Group will guide these two walks at Pulau Ubin, starting from the Nature Gallery to Sensory Trail and Pekan Quarry. We will look for island specialties including the Oriental Pied Hornbill, Red Junglefowl, White-rumped Shama and the globally critically endangered Straw-headed Bulbul. Registration is required.
6. Pesta Ubin Mangrove Clean-Up by NParks Ubin
18 June, 9 am
Take part in an impactful mangrove cleanup at the Ubin Living Lab mangrove arboretum, where you’ll help protect one of Singapore’s most vital ecosystems. Mangroves play a crucial role in our coastal environment with their unique aerial roots that naturally filter seawater and provide essential habitats for wildlife. However, these remarkable roots can become overwhelmed by marine debris, threatening both the mangroves and the diverse species that depend on them.
During this activity, you’ll work alongside other volunteers to remove litter that could suffocate these important aerial root systems. Experienced guides will explain how mangroves have specially adapted to survive in waterlogged, anaerobic soil conditions, and why keeping these areas clean is critical for their survival. You’ll gain hands-on experience in environmental conservation while learning about Singapore’s unique mangrove ecosystems. By the end of the session, you’ll understand the importance of mangrove conservation, recognise common threats to these vital habitats, and learn practical ways to reduce marine pollution in your daily life. This is your chance to make a real difference in preserving our natural heritage for future generations.
The event is free of charge but registration is required.
7. Avian and Wildlife Photography Outing to Pulau Ubin by Nature Photographic Society Singapore

Nature Photographic Society Singapore (NPSS) is organising an avian and wildlife outing in conjunction with the Pesta Ubin festival. An award-winning nature photographer, Daryl Yeo will be leading this trip, assisted by Mahesh Krishnan. Bring your own DSLR or mirrorless camera, lenses as appropriate and tripod. Registration is required.
8. SWAG Leopard Cat Ubin Day Booth
28 June
On Ubin Day, pay a visit to the Leopard Cat booth. There will also be a story-telling of “Grandma’s Tiger”, a story is about grandma who saw a tiger on Ubin where she lives, tells villagers, but they all don’t believe her, authored by Alan John, from 10 am to 11 am, at a villager’s house. The view a film screening of “Our Last Wild Cat” at NParks Ubin Volunteer Hub from 11 am to 12 pm.
9. SG UCare Ubin Day Booth
28 June, 9 am to 12 pm
Head to the Assembly Area at Ubin Town for the Kampong Games Challenge. Play chateh, 5 stone, zero point and hopscotch. Gather your friends and family, and get ready for a blast from the past!
10. Young Nautilus Ubin Day Booth
28 June, 9 am to 12 pm
On Ubin Day, dive into the wonders of wildlife with Young Nautilus! This activity is perfect for families and kids. At the interactive booth, kids and adults can touch, feel, and learn about fascinating marine & mangrove creatures.
